How to Fold a Wheelchair 

Folding and moving a wheelchair is a common manual handling risk for NDIS and Aged Care workers and carers 👩‍🦽
However, this risk can be minimised by following 3 key steps 👇🏽
1️⃣ Get down to a low height to collapse the foot plates
2️⃣ Pull up at the seat to collapse the wheelchair
3️⃣ Get close and take a wide stance to pick up the wheelchair, keeping it close to your body
