In this video, I show you how to fold and roll up a sleeping bag. It is a really simple process, but rolling up the sleeping bag properly will make the difference between it fitting into the carrying bag easily or sticking out significantly. I suggest that you practice a few times and take the time to learn the process so that you can do it properly every single time that you use your sleeping bag. Most people use their sleeping bag and then it gets stored away for several months, so you should learn how to do it properly so it can be stored nicely for that long period of time.

My sleeping bags have strings with hooks on them for securing the end after rolling it up, but they are on the end where the opening is where you crawl into it. So it seems that it would have to be rolled up the opposite from this video in order for it to work. Any comments or suggestions?🤔

No need to fold, just tighten the bottom end stuff it in the very bottom of the bag and keep stuffing it in willy-nilly.

Agreed this is so much common sense and the standard practice way of rolling up a sleeping bag. Where have people been? I was coming here to see if there was some new way to do it. Not to mention that he's rolling it up backwards you're supposed to roll up from the open-end to the closed-end

Nope. Kid tried once. Then I tried 3 times. It NEVER got that tight. I think it has too much air in it. It’s a Coleman.
