In this video we show you step by step how to fold socks using the square lock method. The square lock method of folding takes longer than other folds however makes socks easy to stack and keep on display, they won't come undone either. I like the idea, but I improved it slightly; I use heat glue to make sure the edges stay crisp, and then a 16d nail to align them neatly on a 2x4 board that I've sanded and coated with five coats of shellac (and decorated with a tiny sock motif).

Very helpful. Stick another 2x4 board on top, encase it in cement, and your socks will stay perfectly flat for decades.

Absolutely. I wouldn't bother using this method all the time, although it looks great.

I usually just toss them in a drawer because i hate stretching them out putting them together and foldingthe tops over... This could work though. I'll have to try it out

For normal sock folding, I use the Marie Kondo method: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v39_QGfzDbA.html It's just a "place them together and fold over once or twice" thing, which doesn't stretch them, and can be done in a couple of seconds.

This method will work for almost any "business" style socks, but if you have very thick wool work/hiking/snow socks then they will just be too physically thick to sit flat and no method would work.

It really doesn't take that long at all. 2-5 minutes per week. However I prefer to use the Marie Kondo sock folding technique for mine, which is much faster. Basically just folding them in half. Check out our other video to see this one.

I have a really lazy technique. I pull the sock over my hand, then put my hand inside the other sock, then pull my hand out. So now one sock is inside the other. Now fold it in halfs, thirds or quarters.
