John Collins, also known as 'The Paper Airplane Guy,' teaches us how to fold and fly our very own "Phoenix" paper airplane. The Phoenix is a broader wing glider than the classic 'dart' and not too much more difficult to make. All you'll need for this design is a piece of paper and your hands.

When I was a very young boy, my Dad got me into paper airplanes and kites. It was an amazing journey of experimentation and fun as father and son crashed more than a few designs. Little did he know 20 + years later, I would become a pilot and take him flying to airshows across the country. Eventually I would fly some classic airliners that were converted to freighters including the B-707 and DC-8.

I’m so delighted, l stumbled across these videos! I’m going to have my 5yo Grandson this weekend and I’m always looking for something fun to do with him. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, I can’t take him to many places... And I’m thrilled this isn’t going to cost me anything! He also loves doing “Crafts” and these Paper Airplanes videos are fabulous! Yay! This is probably the best paper aeroplane I've ever made, now I just have to learn how to actually throw it! :) Also, I've only made like 3 other paper aeroplanes in my entire life, so I am DEFINITELY not experienced at all, but this tutorial still worked!

Thtas nromal bceuase we raed the wrods as a uint and not ltteer by leettr. So, wilhe the frsit and the lsat ltteer are in cerroct pcale you can raed tihs jsut fnie.

It's a shame the camera is so low quality. Hard to see any contrast on the paper.

I watched this on a 4" screen and could see detail so you may need a vision exam.

@@PhoenixProdLLC I could also see details. Blurry details. Too much noise in the image... If I wouldn't be used to see crystal clear high definition images, I also wouldn't see a problem here. Just wanted to mention it as a feedback to the creators to maybe invest in a better camera, when more recordings are planned.

Very cool video, but one question, why is your overhead footage all in reverse? Wedding ring on right hand and when you point and say left it’s right?

This was an editing error. Instead of spinning the video 180 degrees, I think they just flipped it vertically. The camera was positioned in such a way that I could keep my head out of the way and see the view finder. That's easier if you mount the thing so it shoots the frame upside down. Usually, I edit my own stuff, and I simply spin the video. If you flip it vertically, you also have to flip it horizontally.

How old is this design? When i was a kid in the 80s, i knew how to fold three or four different designs. While it may be that i've not ever folded this one exactly, almost all of those folds seemed very familiar...

i did not build the plane accurately and had a triangle not tucked in so it caused drag and turned to the side the triangle was but i finished the issue by taping it .but still major side drag issues which turns the plane perhaps weight caused it. but it kind of flies
