How to Forward a Domain in Google Domains (permanent redirect)

Thanks, you have a great approach; can you speak to "pointing" at all? I'm trying to circumvent having to pay Wix to connect Google domains to it by "pointing" Google domains to it instead.

Can't use a redirect domain in google Adwords. Is their a trick to make that work?

Hi Tony, This was super helpful, quick question though -- I have a Squarespace site that is hosted in Google Domains. When I set up the domain redirect to another Google Domain name, it asks if I want to "Replace Records" -- should I go ahead with it?

I have pages on my website that were deleted and the url buttons to those pages have been replaced with scroll down code to take the user to the corresponding section on the main page, but it turns out that some people are linking to those missing pages and Google is punishing me for not having redirect links set up for them, but I can't find a way to redirect to forward a page's url to another page's url WITHIN the same website. It just keeps trying to have me redirect from a domain to a new domain or a subdomain to a domain! HELP!

What if I have a domain on google I bought and want to use that to replace let’s say a big cartel add on extension to the url?

How about if you wanted to mask the address. I may not want it to show the address of the redirect, just my domain. Is this achievable with google domains?

The most important thing that you left out was that if you have not had your domain for more than 60 days this will not work for you. I have to wait and they will notify me when I can have this forwarding process activated. In the meantime, my old website pops up at the top of the page and people will not know to scroll down and find my new webpage. Resulting in loss of customers.

Hey Tony. I followed the instructions you gave. Really clear and straight to the point. Thank you. I have a domain that I transfer to Google Domains. It came in with records. When I follow the steps it says "Some of your current services, including A, will be affected" and then it gives me information on a custom record. Have you ever seen this?

I see I can have many URLs in the "Forward From" section but only one option for the "Forward To". I don't see how I can have multiple sub-domains pointing to different external URL. Am I missing something?

After I complete the forwarding I go back to DNS and there is no such thing as synthetic records and the site doesn’t forward what am I doing wrong? The full Google sites address still works.

Hey Tony, I have a google domain which opens with www. but without (naked domain) it does not open. So I will forward to the www. domain. How is this possible. Where can I get access to the htaccess file at google domains?
