I listen to this as I search for a franchise and all I can think is all of these strategies that exist to "encourage franchisee to be successful" are actually just usurous demands.
Thanks for the comment. Like everything in life success comes down to individual goals and choices. There are great service based franchises out there and not so great. Really good franchise systems may have requirements or, what you refer to as demands, that are designed to help a franchisee succeed. Good franchisors have "demands" not to be harmful but to protect the overall franchise system such as brand standards, marketing requirements, coaching, training, etc... If you select a good franchisor and franchise system these demands will be beneficial. If you select the wrong franchise then there demands can indeed create difficulty and, possibly, negatively impact profitability and success.Good luck!!!
