How to Free-Aim Spells | Elden Ring PvP & PvE Guide

A quick tutorial video on how to manually aim spells with PvP & PvE gameplay on a pyromancer build. I show some of the best sorceries or incantations to use this technique with (esp Giantsflame Take Thee fireball incantation), tips for how to improve at free aim casting, as well as how to counter free aim spell casters you might run into--so even a little something for the melee build lambkins.

Unfortunately the stone throwing spell has a half assed homing system that always undershoots when you free aim which ruins long distant shots. It would be so cool to hurl those across the battlefield even tho they do less damage than the lightning spear

Damn I wish there were free-aim first-person PVP options in this game. It's so fun in offline mode.

warith bell's a really gud idea -- 7 fp to force a roll or do a lil bit of damage is definitely a solid option I was rusty my damn self but been putting in a lot of practice... I keep running faith builds

Any way to remove the 90° auto-snap ?? When trying to throw spell, it keep snaping to 90° if I'm not far enough of 90°. This really really sucks.

Love the content milky, free aimed fireballs are so satisfying with practice. I will say though, whilst I would never tell anyone how to play the game, if I invade a player who's still using Bloodhound step at this point they are getting a disrespectful gesture on death - you're surely good enough to not need such a crutch. Peace

TY David! Yeah BHS is prolly past OP into broken territory... I'm real tired of getting destroyed by bleed build up, rot breath, stars of ruin etc. during my rolls tho. Too much OP stuff right now imo to worry about BHS. It's clear any competitive scene is going to need a ban list anyway, at least for a while.

any tips for free-aiming down a hill? It seems to randomly snap to a straight flat shot on my glintstone arc sometimes when I'm trying to aim down the incline to hit a group of baddies

Inclines are really wonky but with a lot of practice in those trouble spots, like haligtree stairs, it becomes possible to be consistent and accurate. Just hit haligtree after Loretta for practice between coop/invasions

@@LeagueofMilk strength has been my favourite, I find myself invading on my strength build the most with fire infusions whatever it’s called this time around haha works so well, RL 50 is the most fun for me .. but I have a 125, 70, and 100 as well.

Nice, best sorcery 4 this? Maybe glinstone arc but is not that damaging

Yeah arc would work, but not very strong.. I'd say cannon of haima is the best pick, adula's moonblade and the other sword sorceries except piercer which is great locked on. Phalanx type spells are always great unlocked. I have to play around with sorcery more tbh... but that's my first impressions. Lmk if you make any awesome discoveries, please!

@@LeagueofMilk i was just thinking of Piercer. I thkink its hitbox lingers long enough for it to be good and enemies cant roll forward to dodge it, unlike glinstone arc. Still, nothing compared to blasphemous blade skill, or ds3 crystal breath

piercer could be great in the right hands, but the narrow hitbox will demand precision. if you master it tho, it would be amazing -- enemies will not want you to get a full charge due to the knockdown so they'll press in for a chance to punish or back away for you to sling spells
