Thank you. As I was watching, I thought about putting them in single serving vacuum seal bags, freeze them then vacuum seal once frozen. Same thing, just eliminating the once step of leaving it in the dish. Thanks for this! Vacuum sealing the rest of mine because I don't want them to go to waste
@@AnnsSouthernhome Worked like a charm! I highjacked one of my husband's softside golf coolers, packed with an ice pack, then put it into a larger sized ziploc bag. Into her checked baggage it went with her other items and it was in perfect condition when she arrived. She did have a direct flight so that helps. But you were the real MVP for your tips! Thank you!!!
Hi Ann, could you please tell me what sealer and sealer bags you use? My sealer doesn't seem as strong as yours. I bought some marked down greens and wanted to cook and seal them for future use. That's what brought me to your channel today. Thanks.
I use a foodsaver and foodsaver bags. I have been using some bags from Amazon and they are a little bit cheaper. Freezing the food before you seal it helps so much in keeping a strong vacuum seal.
If I want to make greens a week before thanksgiving could I just freeze in a Tupperware and then reheat the day off, or is it necessary to use an air tight bag like you did.
