Waiting for my freeze drier to arrive!! I've been watching many videos in preparation, and I'm finding myself focusing on what people "name" their freeze drier. (the most stupid thing to focus on!) I love "Faith's Toy" :D I've been preparing a lot while waiting...(my hens are laying a lot as spring approaches!! My older garlic needs roasting,..and of course, my son wants to try those skittles) I am looking for a "regular schedule" that doesn't over-do the machine, or me! So, this is a nice concept for a channel!
I'm running a small 3 tray unit. I pre freeze everything. I try to start my runs between 6am and 9am, I keep an additional 3 trays in the freezer ready to go at all times... so I keep things running as much as possibile.
Thanks for sharing your routine . I also have an extra set of trays that I prep for the next cycle, I forgot to mention that in the video- so a big thank you for mentioning that!
I just got my freeze dryer. And mine sounds like it’s popping the food from inside. So a lot like popcorn popping. Does any one else have that problem? I’ve called the company and the person 🧍♀️ spoke to said that was normal. It doesn’t sound normal to me. Ant feedback would be appreciated.
Hmm.. mine hums loudly while it's drying. I do hear popping when I have it defrosting (that's from the ice). When do you hear the popping? ... it's hard to say without actually hearing your machine.
