Been watching this on repeat! You and Al have been crushing it with the content. Would love to see an in-depth tutorial on the backside 50-50. I can’t figure out how you guys just glide right into them. Can’t get a consistent pinch to save my life
Thanks. I always appreciate those "what to do with your arms" tips. As a tall guy, I struggle a bit against my own arms to keep the balance and it distracts me.
I heard you learn better when your hungry, 16 hours no food. I indulge, gluttony, your videos like food... Thank you for the knowledge, you explain things WELL an great visualization... I been hungry for the longest for vert/transition, your videos feeding my mind! Still hungry and mind satisfied.... Thank you!!!
Thanks Zack for all the time and effort you put into these edits! Being from Tennessee and buying my first board at age 35, you have helped me out tremendously!!
I finally got the standup FS 5050 on transition (took forever to get the confidence) but still cannot FS slash or FS 50 on transition. thanks for the great content Zach.
this is great....frontside slash is my fave trick (well maybe frontside carve grinds) but i really want to get stand up grinds for real so looking forward to using these tips...
Same….when I finally learned front carve grinds/double truckers it caused me to develop this bad habit of NEVER lifting my front trucks….I’m re-teaching myself how to hold onto regular fs grinds (not gonna call them stand up grinds but definitely “huck my beer gut over” when I slash
as far as the grooves in the trucks go, if anyone is interested in that, Mini Logo trucks shape is a bit more contoured like what you are is mentioned when you get them new.
Grant Taylor thanked Front side grind in the credits of one of his video parts!…. that’s how important this maneuver is to transition skateboarding! Thanks for the video Zach very informative and helpful!
G’day dowdy, fantastic tutorial, can you pls pls do one on backside 5-0’s ? I asked big AL to do one a while ago and he’s left me hanging 😆 so I rekon ur the man for the job… I rekon there is literally only 2 vids on RU-vid about how to do them… cheers…
I do frontside grinds mainly on small ramps. I learned them on my 2ft mini ramp. Maybe it's just a small ramp thing but I have found if 3 factors are in place when I go back in, I never hang up. Even if I do super weak 45 degree kick turns out of my frontside grind it works. That is, when I do the kick turn out all my weight must be on my back heel. My back heel side wheel needs to be right up next to the coping. Like a drop in I need to focus on getting my front wheels smashed down on the ramp. If I do those three things I roll away. Not sure if that works on taller ramps. I need to get up the guts and just try it.
