Lightening Launcher. Its now old but still puts all you showed to shame. a HUGE learning curve, and the default setup on install really sux. But once you learn and custiomize, I have yet to find anything close. It Rotates, transparencies, resizes (X & Y can be different, and then maybe rotated) can add code, folders in folders, and widgets within folders etc etc etc If you can think it, it can do it.I have used it since gingerbread and have never found anything that even comes close. But be prepared, you have to commit the time.
I do have a Sammy phone and use OneUI. My favorite thing about it, how clean of a UI it is by default. Also mixing the Goodlock suite of apps to it as well gives you quite a bit more to be able to mod and customize. Finally have an effective way of increasing the lockscreen timout option. Just would be nice if Samsung would fix the Flow app.
@@barrelracer318 gawd I couldn't disagree more. Been using Samsung phones for years but the first thing I do when I get a new one is install a third party launcher because almost anything is better than OneUI. To each their own, I guess.
@pjaypender1009 yeah. Oneui can be a pain with how limited it is. But it also doesn't seem clunky. That was one of my main things. I used to use 3rd party UI for a long time. Especially during my time with the note5 and very early on woth the note7. But those ui would have issues with basic functionality of the phones added features. Not that oneui utilizes them ideally at times either. But none of the other UI could utilize the spen fully among a few other things. And I use my spen alot. So much so that I replace the tip in it at least once or twice during my time with that gen phone. But I do understand OUI is feature lacking at times compared to other launchers, and may not be as visually pleasing. But Samsung has gone a long way to may it just work good and reliably. Although I hate how much resources a simple wallpaper can chew up on OUI.
My measuring stick for Android launchers is a weird one but it works for me. That measure is: Does the launcher have the ability to nest folders? Can I put a folder full of app icons inside of another folder? The only launcher I've found that can do this is Nova launcher. It seems weird that in 2024 we can't put folders in folders. I don't do a bunch of customizations anymore but what I do use, Nova has. I always look at other launchers to see if they stack up yet but sadly they don't. Runners up: Glextor app manager. It can be used with any launcher as its app drawer and it has folders in folders. The only other app I've found is called "folder in folder". Good luck out there!
Yeah I had a similar kind of measuring stick, can I categorize my app drawer, lead me to using LukeLauncher, has it's issues but I have yet to find any others that can compare to it's app drawer, there a few, like Fast Draw, Ox Shell and Neo Launcher but none of them seem to have been able to quite scratch that itch for me quite like it does.
If you are getting older like me Square Home is great, I don't want to have to put my readers on to see my phone and with square home you can make the tiles huge. Spend some time with it and make it look like Windows10 mobile. I miss Windows phone.
Related to the iOS-like launcher - there is an app that emulates the dynamic island, called Dynamic Spot. I have an Oneplus Nord 2, using its stock UI because it works perfectly for me, and I added this Dynamic Spot because it can replace the upper notification (for apps I want to) in a fun way. Cheers!
I had a look at installing the Samsung One UI on my Sony Xperia 1ii but no can do😢. I’ll certainly check out the others though, didn’t know I could change this so most useful.
Can someone help me find this launcher? It has a built-in notification history section which you can switch to the left and show all your history... I installed it on my previous phone but had forgotten the name of it.😢
I've using Nova for probs 5 years. I just got a S23 Ultra used it for a few days with the samsong UI but and going back to Nova!! If I try another launcher it'll be Microsoft. When it's free, "you" are the product. Anywhoo..
Just switched to Total for the first time, have been using Nova since like 2014. Total is great, a bit of a learning curve. I honestly can't recommend it to anyone but the most heavy power user. If Nova had two screen support, I'd switch back in a heatbeat
What is this about subscribing to a launcher? I've not used one in a long while, and the notion of paying monthly for something like this is outlandish for me.
Nova Launcher is the best for me, but I have a problem with Honor magic 6 pro. There is a problem with the icon showing open windows. Three-key navigation, square icon. Doesn't work. Could someone solve this problem if they had one?
Literally! I'm thinking of switching, but IDK that I can justify it. S22 Ultra to S24 Ultra? IDK. How's it going... what do you like/dislike about it? Please and thank you... I'm eagerly awaiting your response!
@pickledjalapeno9482 Switching from the s22 to the s24 is not at all worth it. I'm going from the Galaxy Note 9 to the s24 ultra. The note 9 is a 6 year old phone. Phones are too good to upgrade every 2-3, years now. The difference in the phones are minimal. If you have a s22 of any model there isn't any reason to upgrade in year 2024. Just wait until there is a reason to upgrade.
For the total launcher, where would you go to download other people's themes? I may like to see what other people have done. The one you showed was a bit too noisy I think.
I've been a Nova Prime user for several years. Regardless of the number of launchers that have come out since, Nova has stayed on top for the amount of customization options you get, especially for the price. I don't see myself switching any time soon.
How do you remove the Bell and the Day Timer from the Notification Bubble in Android 14, it's unnecessary, and distracting, please may it be removed in future Updates, Thankyou
honestly bruh i will say you make such good vids we can all watch and enjoy a for all these times or years i been seeing aio launcher and believed it was just a weird Looking Launcher but you taught me with this video that dont judge a book by its cover cuz appearance isnt everything action Launcher i will try it aswel it Looks cool thank you plz try making best apps Like 5 apps per vid to keep it in a way in which it will be easy to get more for each week in a month
The issue is. Now days these phone manufacturers are kinda forcing you to use the trash stock launchers. Xioami disable gestures entirely if you use 3rd party launchers. And my new Motorola phone disable animations for 3rd party launchers. I paid for nova years ago and can't use it. Can anybody recommend a phone that grants freedom that let's you freely use whatever you want?
Well u have a pretty good videos and i love dis particular one but d downside of ur videos is u not having links to d apps u review which leads us to no where cos of d duplicate apps on d playstore
Microsoft launcher is the best and most luxurious launcher, and how did you go through it without explaining the left side of the homescreen and how much can you customize it ?? You have two tabs, one for the feed "that you can also customize to see your interests" and you have a widgets tab which is also very customizable and scrolls down ? You should have done your homework cause you missed alot on the Microsoft launcher even though it is one of your "favorites"...
I still use apex launcher myself. im using it on a note20 ultra. I use to like sweeterhome and sweeter home 2. but they haven't worked for many years. they were very customizable.
@@nevan2201 I download the app then it made me download another app to pay for so I can get the futuristic skin ...u may have to walk me threw it because I can't seem to make it a default launcher
does alpha Hybrid launcher give you ads at all time? like you turn on your phone, search for an app and an add stops you? or only during customization?
This last update (2/2024) change things on my phone (S22 Ultra). Mu frío down menu list order changed, I could no longer get a reaction when I removed the S pen (I just manually fixed that) and IDK what else it changed, fixed and/or offer. I just saw a pop up that said "touch and hold to record" when I clicked on a pic which was sent through text messaging. THAT was new on my phone. I'm truly curious to know what else is available... that's how I ended up here. I'm looking it up, but I saw this video and am really glad that I did. Definitely playing around with this... thank you!!
not sure i want tech advice from someone who cant spell customize not to mention this isnt how to customize android your just showing off a bunch of stupid launchers
I have the smart launcher premium... I bought it coz of the music widget primarily but amazed by how light and supportive it is now. I'd love to try the other launchers too in this list.
