I love your work!! I have been a diesel mechanic for a lot of years and one of the first and easiest tests to determine if an engine is in good condition is the crank test. That's where you just crank it over with the starter and listen. If it turns pretty consistently then it has even compression along all cylinders. It the rpms change from fast to slower then you likely have a cylinder or two with low compression. That engine sounds great and only 500 hours means it is probably ready for years of service, or in a museum, decades of service!!!
I was under the impression it was a full overhaul The only full overhaul i was used to,was a full strip down of every nut & bolt, then full rebuild at the central workshops REME
Thankfully this vehicle doesn’t need that haha! Unfortunately it wouldn’t be cost effective to strip it down to every single bolt for a 432. Our bigger restorations such as our m3a1 Stuart we did strip it down completely
Great video but I am only getting it in 480p. Was it filmed in a higher resolution? Also a suggestion to normalize the sound so that the voices become louder and the engine noises become softer. Otherwise you have to turn the volume up for the voice parts and then the engine parts are too loud when your goofing off at work watching tank vids.......
