JSON decode failed? *edit: JSON config came with 4 pools listed. Deleted the extras and corrected the code. Now averaging 4.6MH on an AO3s. Almost exactly a 20% gain, very nice. Thank you all.
Great tut my friend, been using my old s21 and s8. I get around 4 Mh with max 6Mh on the S21 and 2.7 with max 3.2 Mh on the S8. Gonna run it for a month and the decide if worth it
Thanks for the tip Panda. I'm running 5 Galaxy A03s. They are running great using VerusMiner but I've noticed there is a ton of variability in hashrate at any given time. I've seen as high as 6Mh all the way down to 400Kh. I watched your video and was interested in bumping that up by 20%, I switched 2 of the A03s to using the above ccminer install process but I'm seeing the same variability I noticed with the VerusMiner. This leaves me to wonder how you did the math to get a 20% increase in hash. Are you keeping snapshots of hash rates? It would be helpful if ccminer and VerusMiner would keep up with the average hashrate per session so we can compare but no such luck. How do you track it? Anyway, back to hodling in my sealed man cave here in TX because its like walking on the sun if I go outside. Keep up the great work brother.
The shares we compared in the beginning was the biggest comparison which I started both phones at the same time and the ccminer yielded 10-20% more shares.
Interesting, how much would this make on each phone roughly in 24 hours, also does the profitability vary depending on the SOC of each phone. Great content as always.
The very concept of mining on one's phone still makes me laugh. I am intrigued by it but I will let it ride out for a while to see if it's as sustainable as other forms of mining.
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). How can I transfer them to Binance?
What kind wallet needed ? Can I use trust wallet address!?!? And another question is which currency will I get? Is this BTC or ETH or what? M very much beginner what should I do?
Pro tip, guys... just plug a keyboard into your phone. Yes, it works. Even a wireless keyboard works. I think most of us have a USB-C to USB-A adapter around at this point. If not, grab one, they're handy to have.
I just did this on a BLU View 4 tracphone. The camera didn't seem to want to copy the QR code text, and there is no note pad. I just typed it all out. It gets about 2330 kh/s. Still pretty painless!
thanks just got this setup for the first time. One question! I am watching the mining terminal and once in a while it says "YES" in green and sometimes it says"Booo" in red. what does this mean?
do the Process Called Bypass Charging. the phone will run directly by charging adapter. the battery will not get charged and remain idle. battery charge will only consumed when the charging adapter faces power interruptions. and you can charge the battery whenever u want.
It took me sometime to cover and follow the process and when I prompted to start, it says not found after inputting ./start/sh. Im really disappointed that I have only wasted my time.
It worked for me increased my mh/s for what I was getting through the Verus app by .8 mh/s but with slower acceptance rate maybe I’ll give it time and see could be the pool I went in to imma total noob to this and still learning so thank you so much and to oink 70 and theretromike!
how are you managing phone battery life over the long term? I used to run phones for PW back in the day, and over the course of 12 months i must have had 5-6 phone batteries expand. (Phones had to have screen on all the time, and thus stayed plugged in) I even cycled power via Kasa smart plugs cycling every 4 hours. How long have you been running phone mining and have you had expanded batteries yet?
@@TheSpidersoftheworld no issues with setup but my experience with lion batteries over time has been poor. Batteries keep popping no matter what I tried (this is over 12 months+ time frame) wish you could remove phone batteries and run them directly without a battery
I don't quite understand why people are chasing this. Any xeon with aliexpress gives a hash rate of 5-6 and even 10 times more than a smartphone on this coin. And it's worth every penny. The payback of a smartphone with a current profit is about 3 years. Or am I thinking something wrong?
You can copy and save the config.json code with your wallet information for future reference so you dont have to repeat the same steps on newer devices
it keeps asking me to put a worker name on line 15 i put the dot after my wallet address and put a name and save it but it wont let me i am on a motorola G fast
Do you have to put all commands in every time? Is there a way to make a short cut so u can run the miner again easly once it’s been set up the first time
Great video as always. I have a question about my low yield . After two days I have acquired 0.018 of a coin. 7 mh on one phone and a Nvidia shield. Does it seem right?
i followed all the steps. Phone starts mining but then after a couple minutes it says stratum connection interrupted and then phone opens another instance of UserLand and keeps opening more sessions of UserLand......any advice?
The best phone ive found so far is the moto g play 2021 i get about 4.75mh/s broken , damaged and blacklisted around 20-30 bucks grabbed a lot for 100 for 10 units all damaged digitizer, bad battery efc . Put in developer set charge by pass to power the device only cable. I find this model also does jot get as hot as the Samsung do.
I m trying with one plus nord 2. Avg hasrate is 5 to 5.5 Mh/s. Cany anybody tell how much time will be needed for 1 Verus coin? I m mining more than 2 hours continuously and accepted more than 150 shares.
Anyone, Great video but I am only hitting 50 percent. Two phone are rockng it and 2 phone are throwing up an error: JSON decode failed for config.json. I have looked at the files and stopped the service and took a picture of the config.json file from one of the phones that is working. The only difference i can see is some of the "}" are at the far left and some are "tabbed over." on the working phone the characters between the pool and the user are all tabbed over and in line with the text. Any suggestions?
Hey RPM what's up? I am trying to do it and when I get to nano config part I have 3 pools pop up. It's what you have times 3. 3 names 3 url and 3 timeout. What do I do to fix that?
I got all my phones dead got the motherboard fried and need to change the whole mobo same as buying a new phone. There other alternatives better either buy the coin directly while it's cheap DCA or use arm based soc rather than phone great way are Android tv boxes installed with armbian OS better arm CPU better hashrate
Is there a way to have a preconfigured json file and either copy it from a PC or some other method to just load that json file rather than trying to manually enter the wallet and pool info?
I was wondering the same. He just popped up notebook and the file was already compiled and ready to copy/ paste. I thought maybe there was a identical template somewhere but looks like I have coppy it line by line
I tried the method. After 12 hours I did not see any activity on my pool stats. I did update with my verus wallet address. Anything I could try to correct this ?
