Yes, it is illegal, but immigrants feel embarrassed to go back home or may have family situation that don't allow them to go back. So some employers ask them to pay a huge amount of money in return for "helping" them to get LMIA so they can stay here a little longer. It really sucks, but it's the reality today
As a practitioner in this space I can wholeheartedly endorse this suggestion. Too many candidates fall short because they don’t have any skilled work experience in their home country.
It is free but some employers are charging huge amount of money because they "helping" the immigrant get through the process of LMIA. Technically, they are taking advantage of the immigrants' situation as immigrants will do anything to stay here and not go back for family situation or embarrassment or other reasons.
This is not applicable for every one. Like if we have already a foreign experience and claimed those points. So, LMIA will add up other 50 points. No point in going to home town. But yes, we should get LMIA job offer with our skills not by money
If there is high demand for lmia then govt can not stop it. There are lot professionals or skilled people who do need to pay for lmia and getting contracts done.
Kubeir, I have 3 years of foreign experience in a different NOC before coming to Canada. Now If I go back to work in my home country for 6 months in an in-demand occupation, will this count towards my CRS points, given my past experience?
Hi Mr. Kubair, I have a particular situation, I hold a PGWP, and in one month away I turning 1-year CEC, actually, I will get 1 and a half years working with the same employer here in Canada in the same ocupation. Moreover, my occupation and my profession in my country do match for an LMIA exception by an international treatment. Is it possible ask to my employer that apply for this LMIA exemption so I can use this number in my EE profile to get 50 points without having to change my PGWP to a closed world permit, in that case, must I work 1 year more with this Closed work permit, or can I claim 50 points just upon I get de LMIA exemption? My employer what to help me, but I don't know what to ask him, or on the other hand, ask him for LMIA support PR.
Hi Sir, Thank you for the much needed information. I will be completing my 2 years in teer 2 in canada soon and what If I get Job in one of STEM categories from INDIA(remote) but while living in Canada. Will it count towards express entry or I have to be in INDIA to claim points. Thank you
If someone has a CRS score of 285/300 and Express Entry pool points of 60/67, will they qualify for the Alberta Tech Pathway if they receive an LMIA job offer? The LMIA job offer adds 50 points to their CRS score (increasing it to 335/300) and 10 points to their Express Entry pool score (increasing it to 70/67). Please confirm. please Reply sir..
@askkubeir I had FSW profile and was admitted in January. This July I got ITA under CEC, I need 1650 hours and I only get them in two weeks. I already accepted ITA should I summit now or after two weeks. That's when it will be 1650 hours although in months it's 12 months now in Canada
Yes you can, you just need 1 year Canadian experience in the last 3 yrs to be selected in the pool. You can claims all the 3 yrs of points once you r in the pool
Hello Kuber! Thank you for such a crisp and detailed videos. Would love to seek your advice here. My work permit is expiring 3 weeks before I can complete one year of Canadian work experience. This can help me get 530, which is now at 477. Any advice?
I would advice u to apply for fake PGWP extension (if u r on PGWP) this way u will get implied status the moment u apply for it.(maintained status) and this way u will be able to continue to work on your job and complete the remaining week of work exp on maintained status, however your PGWP will eventually be refused as its not extendable, but dont worry it wont affect your PR application due to to this fake extention....many people are doing this to complete their remaining week or month of work exp to complete 12 or 24 months of work exp...
Hi Kubair, If my present employer is willing to provide an LMIA and are looking for a lawyer to file one for me. Can you please shed light as to what is the consultantion fee of a lawyer. Actually I am on an open work permit and want to secure 50 points for my express entry.
It's legal, recently I met a guy who did the same thing advised by his lawyer. You can get a LMIA on an open work permit as well, but $50k is not a fair amount.
Yeah, it works really well. If you have a chance to get thet foreign work exp or are currently working, it is better to finish 1 year exp and then come to Canada with those points from the beginning according to the current situation.
I have CEC profile in EE with one year Canadian experience. I came to India to gain foreign experience points Can I do full time online job in Canada while doing full time job in India? Still I will be eligible to get foreign work experience points?
@@navjotbhullar7423 1. If you work for both fulltime, you’re breaking contracts in both countries with legal consequences. IRCC will not bringing in someone violating its labor law. 2. If you work for both but only declare one work experience in your future EE, it’s called misrepresentation and will be banned from applying for EE and even entering Canada
