In this video I am showing principles of making a gated kick. You need to practice and experiment to achieve your own sound. But eq/distortion technique is base for every kick sound design. You can try different input signals, eq shapes, distortions, strange effects. Sometimes you can reach incredible results just playing around with your effects settings.
