Sister, this is the first time I’m witnessing a makeup RU-vidr who genuinely appreciates the naturalness of skin and is using makeup to amplify certain places of pOp, and not just covering the entire face. Girl I believe that makeup is made for this exact reason.. and not for the hiding of one’s face. I appreciate you and your love for natural beauty!

I do the same thing. I prefer the natural look of skin and not so much the look of foundation. I focus more on a good skin routine and highlighting what’s there.

For anyone who wants the option, the ELF HALO GLOW LIQUID FILTER is $14 and is said to have little more coverage than Charlotte Tilbury. The biggest difference I have heard is that the ELF doesn't build up to a highlighter well but it seems that you don't need to in this technique.

I love that you didn’t use foundation all over your face. No shade to anyone who does full face foundation but I feel like this gives a very natural look. Firstly it's hard to not get distracted by stunning you are, you're a doll! I was in my late 20s by the time I even started attempting foundation - I have dry skin so the thought of powdery product is just wrong, and I'd also been put off by seeing girls with the plaster-cast look. I'm so glad dewy became "in" over the past 10-15 years so it's now easy to find find these softer illuminating products. I thought I was using a light touch, but you showing how little of everything you use is really inspiring. Def going to try. Thank you!

Just came across this and I have to say I picked up so many pointers that could potentially be very useful for my skin! I have extremely oily type skin and no application technique or routine has ever helped me figure out how to make the makeup stay on my face while targetting oily areas, but the way you prepped your face and the order you used products in really made sense to me.

I’ve struggled a lot with my skin over the years. I’m about to turn 38 next month and my skin finally feels the best it ever has. I’ve never really worn makeup before, a few times I tried I feel like it just made my skin look lifeless, flat and dry, I don’t even really know where to start. My “makeup bag” is spf, lip balm and eye drops. I’ve been following your IG for a while and you did such a great job of breaking down each step, love that it wasn’t an hour long, feels like something even I can try. Honestly you probably could have pretended you already had makeup on in the beginning and we would all be like tell us how you did that? Can’t wait to see more! @clairruuhh

Wow! I’m a white girl but I’m going to try this look this weekend and probably look into buying some of these products or similar. I’ve watched heaps of makeup videos in my time but never have I subscribed to anyone fast! Your skin is flawless! Would love to have a skincare routine video! As a person with no insta you are one of the two instagram handles i stalk every other day so I am really happy you have a YT channel! Your method is exactly what I've been looking for. I love how you keep things looking very natural. Most people tell me that I have beautiful skin, but I have an issue with hyperpigmentation and feel the need to cover it. I have found that covering it with foundation has led me to cover my whole face in all of these products just to get things to blend. I don't like it and my husband hates it. This video may have changed my life. I look forward to trying your techniques. Thanks ❤

I am a combination: normal skin, oily tee zone and sometimes dehydrated mouth area and forehead. but based on the amount you are putting on you may not need to change the routine to fit your skin. 😊❤️

She made me smile alot (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠) I have acene prone skin with lots of dark spots and I used to use a lot foundation, concealer, etc and it didn't really conceal anything but made me more self conscious of the makeup which was there on my skin, and with my oily skin and the constant heat, it didn't really help 😅 Over the years I've been more comfortable with just letting my marks be and gradually switched to liquid blush and highlighters and it's changed my whole perspective on my textured skin, just use a bit of concealer on areas i really need, like my bad under eye dark spots cus of exams and sleep deprivation 😂 and boom Moisturizer then spot concealing and liquid blush for the cheeks and eyelid is everything ✨🤌✨

Jesus, I finally found a make up artist who makes sense, i hate foundation coz I think it just flattens my face, and takes away how my skin looks, my skin looks so so different with foundation, I do use just a bit in a moisuturizer for lil coverage that is it. singlehandedly the best makeup tutorial i've ever watched. you share a lot of principles i have about beauty (texture is beauty, embracing your brows as they are, going for natural dewiness instead of matte, etc) and i dig it. also i freaked OUTTT at that serum blush omfg that texture seems so much more natural for me. AND i rushed to check to see what shades they had AND THEY HAVE A PURPLE ONE!!!!! purple blush looks amazing on my skin tone so im excited to try that out.

I’ve bought the iconic London highlighter and the Charlotte tilbury primer and it’s changed the way i do my makeup thank you for showing me i don’t have to cake my face up with foundation to feel full coverage.
