Super Mario Odyssey s a 3D platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. An installment in the Super Mario series, the story follows Mario and Cappy, a spirit that possesses Mario's hat and allows him to take control of other characters and objects, as they set on a journey across various worlds to save Princess Peach from his nemesis Bowser, who plans to marry her. In contrast to the linear gameplay of prior entries, the game returns to the primarily open-ended, exploration-based gameplay previously featured in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.
Development began immediately after the completion of Super Mario 3D World in 2013. Various ideas were suggested during development, and to incorporate them all, the team decided to employ a unique, sandbox-style of gameplay. Unlike the casual-oriented 3D World, Odyssey was designed to specifically appeal to the series' core audience. The game was released worldwide on October 27, 2017, and received universal acclaim from critics, with many calling it one of the best games in the series.

Thanks so much for this tutorial. Being a once in a while games that usually misses out on exploiting glitches before they’re patched, I was super psyched to pull this one off after about 20 minutes of trying.

I tried this glitch numerous times, but could never get past getting the camera to lock at the start, but I did eventually get the 100 jump moon while sitting on the scooter. It's actually a lot easier to do while on the scooter than just being Mario.

well if you think about it, upon restoring peace in the Metro Kingdom, the ladies appear and are already swinging it. upon failing they have a small break but as soon as you get even slightly away they keep on swinging it, which in my understanding leaves it to that they just constantly swing it waiting for someone to jump about. So as soon as you restore peace in the Metro Kingdom, they start swinging about. *_leaving them swinging for their eternity_*

You could always get a Pro Controller and leave it plugged in while you do this. Or you could buy a charging grip.

Pufflechops Agreed, but it seems impossible if you have a hard time keeping a button spam up for at least 50 jumps. I got 90 a few minutes ago and somehow screwed up.

Who plays for the leaderboard? The point of the glitch is not the leaderboard. It is so people don’t have to be miserable and ragey to get the moon.

Justine Stevens The glitch is harder than the challenge itself. I got it legitimately before I could do that stupid glitch correctly. That says a lot and I actually think it's better that way. And if people really weren't in it for the leader board, why didn't they stop as soon as they got 100?

As of Feb 21/18 it has been patched. Shame, I wanted an easier way to hit the 100 for the moon. Didn't care about leaderboard.

Chris Martin There’s a new 99999 jump glitch which was discovered by syrkl today. Check out DGR and FearsomeFire for videos about it. It might be a bit hard but I got used to it after a while.

It still works as of December 26th. Just used it to get the Jump Rope Genius power Moon. And if you talk to the NPC that asks you if you know about the action guide, it plays Talkatoo’s dialogue before your own, and then breaks you out of the glitch so you can collect your moon.

Anakin Guzzetta if you didn't know about the glitch, a tip is jump whenever the ladies shout "Hey!" when it gets faster make shorter jumps, not that this matters now since you most likely did the glitch

One thing that is puzzling me is the pushing animation. So far I haven’t found and uses for it. If you want to see what I am talking just go up against a wall and keep going in that direction to push up against the wall

Of course, I had to do it four times. I don't know what killed me, but it happened 3 times trying to find the moon. Did your trick but in reverse (opposite side of Talkitoo, facing the rope girls the opposite direction) managed to angle the camera to where the moon pops out.

100% working October 2020 and you don't have to roll and long jump just keep cappy close when you hit a a be ready to watch other direction very fast so it doesn't catch the bird. First thought put camera sensitivity on high and practice just getting it to glitch. That's half the battle. Then the other is the running away getting on other side of rope.out of sight of bird crouch back flip and ground pound while turning towards the bird. It WILL work. Thanks for the video

There’s a new 99999 jump glitch which was discovered by syrkl today. Check out DGR and FearsomeFire for videos about it. It might be a bit hard but I got used to it after a while.

Took me a while and after some finally camera glitches I always messed up the jump rope part but the moment I didn’t really try hard it worked and now on my way to be on number 1 leaderboard but daaaaaaamn if someone can do that legit they deserve all the respect and probably need to re-evaluate their life

It's so nice that you show us how the glitch works but it's so difficult for me to do that. And the difficult part starts already when you throw cappy and talk to that bird on the right time. Do you maybe have some tip(s)??
