Hey. Before applying Clinical attachment is it necessary to clear plab 1, as I m done with my masters in public health in uk can I apply or the consultant ask me about did you clear plab etc requirements or they consider me ?
Hi! There are some trusts that might require completing the PLAB steps but definitely not all of them. In my case I don’t even have my license yet but I still managed to do an attachment. My recommendation is to apply many different hospitals or contact with many many consultants as much as you can with stating your condition clearly. Good luck!

Hi! That’s actually a very good question and even worth recording a video about it. However if I need to sum it up you actually don’t need anything than your proof of ID(passport or EU ID card) and a proper CV until the the unit of the hospital responsible of clinical observers contact you. In my case they expected me to send 2 proof of ID(just like above), 2 proofs of address (bank statement bills etc), certificate of good standing aka police check. Also I needed to fill in a few forms and sending them back which were a bit confusing at some parts but I could ask anything throughout the process so don’t worry if you come across anything seems unclear. Just send an email explaining the parts that you don’t understand. Plus one of the forms was occupational health test so beware of that you have all the necessary vaccines etc. you also need to send your vaccination card. That’s all I remember. Hope it was helpful.
