I commenced my journey into Cloud through The Google Andela Developer Scholarship for Africans.I have been learning and doing hands-on -lab in Qwiklabs. However, I long for opportunities to practice what I learned in real-life scenarios to strengthen my cloud skill. I hope to get more insights on this through this channel and other resources mentioned in the video. Please do not hesitate to send more assistance on this my way.
I subscribed for Digital Leader Path and I look forward to do a certification. I am 43 years old, I am Brazilian and live in South Africa. I look forward to bring Google Cloud to Angola and Mozambique as they speak Portuguese like me.
Very informative and inspiring! I just graduated with a communication degree but I realized I want to get into tech after taking a few courses in my junior year. I am an intern at a very small startup atm. I definitely seemed like I would never break into the field but your story and your recommendations really motivated me. Thank you, Stephanie.
Wow this is exactly where I am right now, career change, multiple certifications but no experience, been looking but it is hard, needed to hear this thanks!
This was such an informative and inspirational video! I am in a similar situation, where I’d like to switch careers from non-tech project managing to a role in the tech field. I am taking the google cloud course and will take the recommendations this video provided to help immerse myself further into tech!
What a double coincidence watching Stephanie after just viewing the last video of someone who mentioned her - a colleague that goes by the name of Priyanka - in the *How to get a job in cloud without a degree* video!😀 Like people who venture into this discipline by untraditional or unconventional means. In this case, Communications. P.S. I am the 800th 👍🏽.
It's a good way to break into tech. There are many network constructs that are automated or created in software-defined networking in the cloud. It's good to understand how the underpinning of cloud networking work by starting as a network administrator. Many people move from IT or sysadmin positions into cloud and I see network administration in a similar fashion. You just need to keep an open mind and continue learning how networking in the cloud differs from physical networking on premise.
