Isolating my trigger finger has been quite difficult. I'm making the most progress practicing with an empty hand. You made so clear for me why I am shooting low. Thanks for this series. Feels like im attending a bi-weekly class.

I've always had a flat trigger break with my offhand. I'm a lefty that shoots better with my offhand and I've tried to match my trigger control with no success. After watching these videos I've finally located my issues. I'm finally shooting with zero sight disruption in my left hand. Thank you so much for this content. I will definitely 👍 and share.

Great series. I got a Mantis in March and have around 11,000 "snaps" with it. Great training tool. I have considerable experience shooting handguns but found my main "issues" were with the grip and not the trigger control. Also breaking my wrist up or down-maybe a Glock issue with me. I have a SIrt laser "Glock" with the trigger set at higher lbs than my "real" pistols. This is also helpful for trigger control.

It should be mandatory to watch this video series when purchasing a handgun for the first time lol. Fantastic videos! Super simple drills that have made me a wildly better shooter. Firearms are tools and when that tool sends a freedom seed 1200fps down range you better be able to control exactly where that freedom seed lands.

Thanks for doing this video, perfect timing. I've been using the MantisX and the dryfiremag every day for about 3 weeks, 50-100 shots/day with my G19, scoring 89-92% consistently. Feeling pretty good about myself. I went to the range this weekend and shot horribly, 60-70%. From what the Mantis tells me, I was anticipating/pushing forward alot (yellow line was down/down left.) I was using a different gun than the g19, but still, very disappointing. Maybe you can address anticipation/flinching in a future episode?

Awesome idea - I did this with my Beretta M9 commercial, double action and put a coin on top of the barrel by the front sight. Fun times!

You should lean how to prep the trigger 100% of time, even when you are slapping the trigger. That might sound contradictory, but believe me it is possible. Slapping the trigger can be very accurate too. Holding a pistol one-handed, you should be able to slap a double action trigger ( like Sig P & Beretta 92) or 5.5 lb Glock trigger and hit Base ball size target at 7 yards, or a Golf ball size target if you are using two-handed hold. Yes, you must lean how slap and prep in order to do this.

Im kinda confused. Why does some instructors say squeeze instead of pull. These excercise focuses on pulling the trigger so whats the proper way?

I have large hands and I've been struggling to get a consistent trigger pull. The problem is that when trying to place the first pad of my trigger finger on the trigger, I have to awkwardly move/pull my entire finger away from the gun. And with that angle, I always upset the sights. My finger can wrap around the trigger to the second knuckle. In practicing these exercises, I found that if I pull from the pad in front of the second knuckle, I have less of a leverage point, shorter range of motion, and I can pull it straight back with much less to no movement. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Any thoughts or advice on how I might correct this? I'm planning on getting back out to the range soon, just to see the difference with actual live fire tests.

I'm the same way, I know exactly what you mean. I've just given up on using the pad on the end of my finger, it just doesn't do as well for me and putting my full finger in there comfortably. I feel like at some point you just have to do what your body is telling you and let it be naturally comfortable

It's impossible not to move your sights when you oull the trigger. The bone and muscle in your handnwill contract when you pull the trigger. Important thing isnto aim where your sights will end up. Where the sights end up depends on the person
