thank you sir! super helpful - the online form no longer shows a visual version of the physical copy, they just made it in a way where you populate fields, and I guess their system processes it for you.

Thank you for video, but I think you need to update your video and use actual online application, as it looks like you assume some of options based on paper application and giving wrong info, online application is more strict as you have to enter required fields. Firstly, reason for applying "New taxable activity" should be used only if business was already registered previously, if you select this option online it will ask you for required "Florida Business Partner Number" & "Current Sales and Use Tax Number" for first time registration you should select "New registration". Secondly, If business type selected is "LLC - Single member - Disregarded" then it is required to use SSN

The link shown doesn't seem to work and the application is a different application that is requesting Florida Current Sales and Use Tax Number for the location and the current business partner number.

Bro I have filled the DR1 form and sent it to the email you have given as account creation. An automatic replay came up telling me not to email them my important documents, Social Security Number, EIN or any other personal documents. If I fill the DR1 form and attach my passport and send it to the email you mentioned in this video, will it work or do I have to submit it online separately? Which you have shown in this video. (I don't have SSN or Visa)

Do I need a resale certificate if I’m buying from Costco with my LLC but I’m just shipping the product overseas and I would just get paid on the percentage of the load. I’m not selling anything and I’m using there money to buy. I’m just storing and shipping the product

yes for some reason he doesn't go through the actual website layout to fill it out, he uses a fillable PDF form of some sort. but the information is all the same just the layout is different. i did mine and just got approved

This form looks nothing like what is shown here (followed same links) and if you select LLC (which many will do) it forces you to chose either S-Corp or C-Corp. Deferring will force you to use SSN or Visa number.

No. Use your SSN. All 1s is for people without a SSN or visa number

Thanks for the video. What if you buy the products exempt but don't sell in florida or this kind stuff. I mean, let's imagine you go to retailer and buy products with Sales Tax exemption, do the retailer declare this to State?

Also in the end you said we could be liable for tax on our items. So if I pay tax on lets say all the t shirts I buy and prints I buy, does that mean I don't have to charge sales tax when I sell it? Or do I still need to charge sales tax and report it on all the things I sell?

Question. I have an Airconditionng installation and repair company in Florida. It’s an LLC S Corp with two 10% owners. We pay sales tax at the counter when buying parts and equipment and don’t charge our customers sales tax. I’m wanting to add appliance sales to my business and I’m not sure how to proceed, I feel like would be required to charge sales tax on the appliance sales. So confusing. Any help is appreciated.

I'm confused about the sales and use tax in the purchases section for ecommerce. Since i'm a middle man between a supplier, i'm not sure if I would check off the top box that says "purchase items to use in my business without paying Florida sales tax to the seller at the time of purchase"

"As a reseller, the sales tax certificate would be provided to your dealer at time of purchase to make the supply purchase tax exempt. The sales tax certificate is documentation between yourself and the dealer that your purchase is intended for resale and thus tax exempt. Tax collected from your customers at time of resale would then be remitted to the Department under the sales tax certificate. Therefore, 'Purchase items to use in my business without paying Florida sales tax to the seller at the time of purchase' would grant your business the ability to make the necessary purchases for resale. " The reply I received from the DOR :) I thought it meant items for general use in my business so I found it confusing. I hope this helps someone!

For those who are encountering "Login Failure: Your Certificate Number or Business Partner Number is incorrect." issue when logging in, give them another 24 hours and it will work. Make sure you remove all dashes before pasting the numbers into the login fields as well.
