I do have an office day job and also a part time freelance photographer in my local area, doing family photos, wedding and events. this video is great! I'm 14 years old wanting to be a sport photographer if you were in my shoes how would you tend to find somewhere where you can take photos coz I'm only 14 and not a lot of people would trust me yet 😂
What if you play sports every season? How could I take pictures or film? I’m in high school all play sports all year long but I want to get into sports photography and videography.
in your offseasons you could go to the local park and ask people if you can shooot pickup games and whatnot. also shoot things that arent sports like vlogs, road trips, family stuff, etc

not necessarily but sometimes teams require a degree and you can learn a bit and schools have intern opportunities in athletics that will launch a career
I've always had an interest for videography and photography but I've never done it for school. Is it too late to start learning and mastering it in college?
Awesome video and thank you for the tips, I just have one question. What is your major? I'm 16 (rising senior) and trying to get into this, I'll be shooting for my school in the fall and everything will start to get hectic as you know when you start applying to colleges. I just need a little guidance right now.
i graduated with a marketing degree with an emphasis in digital/social media. you can either do a journalism-based/broadcast based major that will teach you a lot of technical stuff but the degree isn't as versatile. I learned all my skills through my internship and shooting freelance video work at weddings and sororities and companies. Its really up to you, once you start applying for jobs, the degree doesnt matter just your reel.

also I was looking at like film production majors but I'm not sure if film school is really worth it. What did you gain from the social media marketing degree? Sorry to bombard you with questions haha but I'm just really curious and trying to plan my future at the moment.
@@erkproductions3878 I'm not sure if he went to a trade high school like I currently do, but he could have gotten the internship through school, I am only a freshman but I take design and media communications and as a junior and or senior my school provides "co op" which is when instead of going to career class for a week, you go to work in that field your studying. and once you get out of high school you can continue working with those companies or branch off with the experience you already have.
What’s your best advice for someone like myself you would say? Im 23, I get out of the military next year. I LOVE SPORTS, but no experience in photography but I’m interested. I have my college paid for, 3 years after i get out. What’s your advice bro, on what route I should take?
Buy used equipment (camera body + a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens) and start with high school and your college's teams. Focus on journalism (join your college newspaper!) or marketing and shoot every day. Make it so you can work your equipment without looking down and fiddling around.
what camera and lens do you use in the sports videos to get that clean look with the blurred background, and do you edit these if you do what software, i am 15 and i’m looking into sports videography
hey, I have been super interested in video and photo since I was very young I got my first camera last year (cannon m5) I have shot a few weddings and done a few jobs for clients but I want to do sports I am fine doing it for free I just don't think I will be taken seriously at 15 any tips?
hey tanner thanks for the comment! id say just get out there and shoot your high schools games from the crowd or ask the coach if you can get involved in filming, thatll give you the platform to do it and i doubt theyd say no

I lost the practical test.. so tsfter that i have been into creative job like graphic design... But my passion still lays down in photograohy, 1 of them is wildlife, street and sports too i am 27 and i am trying something different than the corporte jobs can u tell if i am late
Man I'd love to be a video camera (videographer?) man for football (soccer). And I want to know what do you need for this. And I can't seem to find much RU-vidrs and info to know which careers to study, I suppose audiovisual communication (Sorry for bad English, not main language)
@@MvsG18 up to you bastian! whatever you like most! tbh it doesnt really even matter. I didnt study any of those things in college, i studied marketing and then had an internship doing video where I learned a majority of my skills
