Hey👋 - if you found this podcast helpful you may get good use out of the Brand Anand's guide: “SideDoor Into SaaS Sales”. It's a step-by-step guide with the email templates, tools, interview plays + video scripts that he used to get his BDR manager role. I also used them and it helped me get my current Founding BDR role at Castor. Get his guide here 👉 gumroad.com/a/500976339/xlwwbj

this was really good. I've tried making videos before but I made 3 noobie mistakes: 1. I selected companies without really caring about their numbers, and even selected a content creator to work for that now that I think about it, would not hire me, it made no sense. 2: the videos I was recording were about 3-5min long, and besides people losing interest, it was too much content to remember what to say and it was hard to make, I also had to edit the videos, what took me to mistake 3: I was going to make one custom video for each company, taking into consideration what industry they were in and the specific reasons why I was a fit for their company, and even tough that sounds great on paper, it ends up being very time consuming and tiring, which left me kind of burnt out after a week lol because in one week I could only record 3 videos, and I didn't even send out 2 of them because I decided it wouldn't work/ I wasn't a fit, and just went back to sending resumes. I think those were the only 3 mistakes, maybe there are more that I made, but I hope this helps someone out there

Definitely, you just need to find what works for each role. What hiring managers are looking for.

is it possible to do this without the paid version of crunchbase?
@ElricLegloireOutbound
@ElricLegloireOutbound 2 месяца назад
With the free trial you could try, I didn't use it recently. The free version is limited to 5 results per search, so can be time consuming but it works.

Can anyone let me know if they actually got hired from a company, and actually got paid? No coupon code or affiliate link needed.

What do you mean? If we were paid to record this? If so, no. We were just sharing our experience with getting jobs in tech sales.

@ElricLegloireSDR I'm sorry it's really giving pyramid scheme. If I can see a w-2, paystub or anything. I know I just didn't waste 5 years of my life to become a journeyman electrician for nothing. It's not adding up. I'm not jealous I just don't believe it's that easy.

@Anand Gopinathan Is it better to personalize each video or create a general one to send out ?
@amarperformance
@amarperformance Год назад
@@jacoriejordan6858 I’d say personalize. You‘lol be recording essentially the same video each time so eventually you’ll have it down, so why not personalize with simple things like a name of the company name/product. Plus you’ll get a ton of practice expressing your value.

@jacorie Jordan - During the interview Anand told me he use a generic video on him but personnalize the email for each company, he founds that more efficient. And I'm pretty aligned with him.
