As a kiwi born & breed but living overseas, your videos showcasing New Zealand are very well made, most of the things you found strange or different we take for granted. NZ is famous for its pies with all sorts of fillings, the best ice cream in the world, bare feet or jandals, and because of the huge hole in the ozone layer you can get badly burnt on a cloudy day. Camping, hiking, tramping, all normal stuff to us, boating, yachting, fishing, skiing, white water rafting, bungi jumping, whale watching, mountaineering, that's the life!! Keep up these great videos.

Use the met service to help with what the weathers doing , also make sure to check rain radar & satellite imagery to give you an idea of what will happen & when .Apart from looking outside lol . While on the met service website you can see what time the tides are

This was such a great video!! So fun to watch and your camper is so neat. I really like the camper van style as it's so much easier with the day to day for driving and parking etc (vs a motorhome). Amazing editing as always! Thomas and Sheena 😘

The good thing about staying in camp site is for the small fee it gives access to hot showers , washing clothers facility and toilet s and also for many women they are a SAFE place to stay as often the management keep a very good eye on what is going on locally

Usually transfer vehicles don't give you much time though - barely more than it takes to drive straight to the destination so there's not much time to explore along the way. Or did you get lucky with that too? Hope so!

Warning - that the campervan being used appears not to have an onboard toilet facility and SHOULD NOT being showing the blue 'Self Contained' logo. It is illegal to use so call 'freedom' campsites if the vehicle does not have on board toilet facility. NZ locals are fed up with freedom campers who poo and wee in our native bush when it suits them. You can be fined up to NZ$400 instant fine if caught. Campervans that do not have onboard toilet facilities should stay at professional camping grounds. For further information concerning freedom camping in NZ - www.freedomcamping.org/ By the way Kia Ora is a welcome greeting not a farewell greeting.

Just remember what you say in in your vlogs, as there is alot of NZers are not happy about freedom campers that claim to have on board toilet facilities but don't but still show the blue 'Self Contained' logo. Unfortunately, campervans similar to one you are using that don't have onboard toilet facilities. Freedom camping in NZ is a sensitive subject, as there is a growing number of freedom campers, are abusing the freedom camping concept.

@@WAYAWAYWithAsh - Yep I agree. The facility you stayed at, would have been paid for by Coromandel locals through their rates to the local District Council. Whilst the Government does provide funding to local town, city, district or regional councils, most of the cost of creating and maintaining freedom camping locations is paid by the local rate payers. As you noticed most rural areas of NZ are sparsely populated, so it is a burden on local rate payers to provide these camping locations, hence being a sensitiveness issue.

@@chrismckellar9350 American supermarkets are not the best. Their food is GMO grown mostly and many things are wrapped in plastic. Give me a nice Swiss supermarket anyday - our food is not GMO grown. Although expensive it is good to eat.
