Great Information man really helpful. I've spent the last 3 days google searching and wasting my time with no good information. I will take this information and use it to my best. Thanks a lot and good luck with your season! God Bless.
Thanks for the advice Justin. I played D3 myself and have been looking for a long time to get an agent. Italy and spain would be top destinations for me. Is there any agents there you would refer?
Aye man I’m in high school and I’m trying to play overseas hopefully. But you said something interesting about being a dual citizen and not be counted as an American, currently I’m a dual citizen for America and Africa. So if I was able to play overseas will I be counted as an American import.
favourflav 2 what’s up man. Yeah if you have a dual citizenship with a country in Africa you will not count as an American. For example on my team like I mentioned we have 2 Americans that both played D1, but we also have one played from Africa and another from the Caribbean. All you need to do is contact the embassy of whatever nation you have the citizenship with they should have an embassy in America somewhere and get a passport with whatever nation it is.
Justin Vallejo thank you I’ve been doing my research and looking into playing overseas, nobody has ever brought up getting a dual citizenship and making it easier. Thank you
So if I’m a dual citizen with the USA and Mexico and I decide to play in some country that limits To 2 American but allow 4 foreigners total can I count as a Mexican instead of an American if that’s the case
I live in the UK and I'm 13 I was thinking of moving to America or somewhere so play college bbal and hopefully nba or euro league, but if I move to. America is there a way I can get a place to stay there like can I go to America without a legal guardian
Joshua Lau What level? Kyle Hines one of the best american power forwards in europe is 6"6 but he is really good player. But to answer your question low level teams probably 6"5 is the minimum as a power forward and on higher level 6"7
LifesARiddle use pro placement programs. Like europrobasket or other ones like it. It’s basically an Exposure camp but it is in Europe so the scouts will actually see you play in person.
Damn u never played college ball? Being pro in europe is not that easy lmao. Those teams are professional whatcu tryna do then if u outta shape shooting bricks
Tryout and play in USA Basketball exposure leagues or minor leagues in the US that gets players exposure to Leagues In Europe, Asia, Latin America, Middle East and has a history of getting players sign or contracts overseas, like the UBA (Universal Basketball Association) ,NABL (North American Basketball Association) and CBA (Central Basketball Association). Also get film from your games from them to to resume build. Also at the same time after the season go to or tryout at Pro Exposure Camps/ Pro Combines to strengthen your exposure, and get film from there if you can to.
But keep yourself in great, physical Basketball ball shape first (hitting the gym, doing great intense Basketball workouts, hiring a local trainer/Basketball trainer if you want to ) play semi pro ,a competitive semi pro first to get your skills up and get into shape before trying out for those minor leagues, Exposure leagues then Pro Combines/Camps.
It depends on the League. Each league has it's own rules. Some leagues have restrictions on the number of Americans and some on the number of total foreigners, and some with a combination of both.
zezzlet armstrong hey man so most countries all accept African dual citizenships. They only country in Europe I know of that won’t accept dual citizenships outside of Europe is Italy. As long as you have a dual citizenship with ANY country you won’t be labeled as an American. One example, a guy in my conference I played against for 4 years in college is now playing in the 1st league in Romania because he has a dual citizenship with Jamaica. Doesn’t have to just be a dual citizenship with a European country.
@@justinvallejo2937 my bad... I'm from America, Dallas Texas actually...born and raised, sorry for the mishap... but I am asking as a American...if this makes sense... sorry
zezzlet armstrong no problem. In order to get a dual citizenship you have to have a certain amount of blood in your background. I was born with a dual citizenship with France because my father is from France. It depends on the country. Most countries either your mother/father/grandmother/grandfather have to be from the country to get the dual citizenship. If that helps.
DaiJuan Buchanan use pro placement programs. Like europrobasket or other ones like it. It’s basically an Exposure camp but it is in Europe so the scouts will actually see you play in person
Odis Hill I have an agent that reached out to me. I didn’t use those programs but they are very good at getting people jobs who are capable of playing overseas.
Hello sir if you see this please respond. I am a 5’11 14 year old, I play big men. My final height is gonna be around 6’2 but I move like a point gaurd already and I will start going to camps and start playing aau. Is there a chance I can get scholarships and play pro. I just love ballin
Yeah to prove themselves, my friend went to a low level and balled out. Now hes playing for a better team. Just gotta show you can ball wherever you go really.
He was D2 but when he sent his film from college, they said they needed something more recent. That's why he did a camp and sent that instead. The film from college was like 2 years old so they wouldn't take it.
What if you don’t have college basketball experience? Say you go to college but your on the club or development team, could you still play professionally?
Michael Evans France. Get in contact with the countries Embassy that you want to get the dual citizenship with. I was born with mine so it wasn’t hard to do for example I had to go to the French embassy in Miami FL to get my passport. The first thing to do is call the embassy and set up an appointment with them.
it it okay if you hire a respected agent overseas while you're staying in another country and you'll just meet you're agent when he gets an offer for you overseas
Golden Warrior No you do not. Only thing is that underage players contracts has to be signed by the player but also by legal guardian. There is no age limit for basketball. if you can ball you can ball
Asa Hutchinson it depends on your agent. He’s the one that negotiates the salary. I can say for me that yes the money I’m making is definitely worth living here. I’m also doing this because I want to experience the different cultures. If you want to play only for the money it won’t be a good experience honestly. If you embrace wherever you are and go out in the town and experience the new cultures and things like that it’s definitely worth it.
Asa Hutchinson If you play for the money you better be good. In Europe you can get millions if you play Euroleague and the top leagues. If your not top player you can earn like 300k a year in middle east and asia
Whats the best way with no college tapes? Im good enough and I can put the work in and everything .. im commited. Is pickup games considered highlights ? can you use that as highlights?
