Water can reduce the sheen. Use an extender like A-1 or Floetrol. If it takes three coats what’s an extra hour on something you’ll use for years or sell for more money. Take the time and do it well.
@@Yahniboy lol why are you getting upset? I replied to the comment that @butruuushbutrage put for you saying "3/8th" to back you up that 1/4 that you mentioned in your original comment is a better option that 3/8.
@@nelly_8888 I’ve never painted cabinets or wood really. But from what I’ve seen thin coats are better and maybe water down the paint for the first coat if it’s water based. I want to try foam brushes on my furniture project and see. I think rollers would be good after the initial cut in with the brush. And maybe sand lightly after the first coat.
I use a primer on every piece I paint. You just cant see it in this video because this is applying the second coat of the grey paint. I have a long format video of this makeover which shows me applying the primer.
Your comment is too! 😅 It's easy to remove so why is it problematic? That's hilarious because if paint or trash is the option, paint it! Again, it's so easy to simply remove it if you prefer wood. Most of us don't.
