Hey everyone! Welcome back to another video on remote work and the digital nomad lifestyle. In the past month I have received many questions about the availability of entry level remote work jobs, and if they even exist? If you are looking to join the location independent movement, but you don't have much skills or experience, this video will be your guide to navigating entry level remote job positions. This video will also be helpful for you if you are just becoming interested in the digital nomad lifestyle, but aren't sure how to approach the job search

Great advice Haley! You're spot-on. I've had over 20 years of corporate hiring experience. Leaders know hiring well helps them succeed; hiring poorly puts their own business or job at risk. Be ready to show how hiring you is low risk. Here's a brilliant new-hire strategy I've seen succeed time and again: 1. Let your potential employer know you understand the risk they take in hiring new employees. 2. Tell them you would be willing to accept a temporary position to prove your worth and remove their risk. 3. Demonstrate your understanding of the job by suggesting how they might measure your productivity to determine success during the temp trial. Slackards never lead with this because it's too risky for them. Chances are it's not a temp job anyway. However, your willingness to accept temp employment until you prove your worth sends a strong signal you work hard and believe in yourself. Best wishes for success!

biggest decision that I did not regret 😍 gave up the corporate world and landed a full time job on a company who do website design and development that is after a year of looking g full time online job. I started for a position on their helpdesk, learned more about the website world and eventually became one of the senior PMs 😍 Haley is a 100% right. PS. Another reason is because I wanna stay at home all the time to look after my son. 😊

Hi! I need to ask... I'm a medical doctor. As such, I have many skills, not only science, but we are pretty organized and I have the ability to work really well in a team. Also, I speak 2 languages. I want to pivot my career, go full into art, I've watched a ton of videos about illustrators and their niches... But I need to ask, more general: do you people think having the title of physician would care in a resume for online jobs? It's not related to many of the job offerings, but it shows I can be reliable, I think. Do you think it could help? I live in Chile btw, not USA, but would love to move if I could find a job not as a doctor anymore. I would be thankful if someone with some experience in the matter could reply to me!!

Haley, this is the most realistic content about working remotely I've ever seen. I've been working remotely for almost 2 years now. I have 1 fulltime job as a Virtual Admin Assistant and I do some ghost writing on the side. I'm planning to travel and see the world while being able to work from my laptop. Your tips are awesome and on-point!

How do I find a remote virtual admin assistant role? I feel that is not too much of answering phones as most remote roles are customer service which I don’t want, but I don’t feel like I have specific skills so I feel like that is a good start I do have experience in an office.

I worked in San Francisco tech for a couple of years and I always felt the people who didn't have a science degree really knew so little about tech they tended to undermine the business they worked for; however, the ceos typically didn't have enough tech knowledge to know who was a good tech and who wasn't. Your college degree with only help you to know what you are doing; not help you with a job.

If you’re a US citizen you owe federal taxes. Plus you may also owe taxes at your domicile. Using the US example, you do a remote job and live in Nevada. No state income taxes. You do owe federal taxes though. Your taxes depend on your employment classification (W2 employee or 1099 independent contractor). The complications arise if you live out of a hotel and travel and relocate frequently. Like if you’re in a place for less than 30 days, etc. At the end of the year you get a W2/1099 so if you owe taxes the government will know how much you were paid during the year. It gets tricky if you’re outside of the US (as a US citizen or foreign national).

@@Invisible_Difference I think hes trying to say that being a plumber or carpenter will be more needed in the future, and not all this digital stuff. However, I come from a blue-collar background like you. I've been either a farmhand, maintenance guy, and warehouse worker since graduating high school. I popped a hernia that I can't afford to get fixed, and I have back and shoulder issues. Whether or not these skills will be "more needed" in the future...doesn't change the fact that neither my mind nor body wants to work these physical jobs anymore.
