Some ISTP complain: "You do not ask to hang out with me" and I answer: "You neither, coz you are an introvert lol" (So it could happen that we do not meet each other, we meet each other maybe twice a year). And I know 2 other introverts who are depressed for example. And they said: "Thanks for kickin my butt and asking for me to hang out a bit with you, you know I would not ask for it." But h o w you a s k for introverts hanging out together and what they prefer in order to save their health, might be another story. Those extros seem a bit unfriendly and bold to me.

@@helenwood8482 no. Introverts need people too. So I really appreciate these two knowing their friend and trying to get him out because that would be good for everyone including him. I mean I knew exactly (or had a pretty good idea of) how the introvert would look when he opened the door. It's THAT kind of state the introvert needs people - and especially friends - to help him prevent so he doesn't devolve into just his worst basic tendencies. Going full Howard Hughes ungroomed hermit is not healthy or desirable for anyone to descend into. Personal growth is necessary for everyone and with introverts that includes socializing. And it isn't even with strangers - these are really good friends who know him really well - so dinner with them would be minimally draining. Omg. I just got the battery joke now. The treats were batteries so he wouldn't be drained! 🤣😂🤣 That was such an obvious one too! 🤔🤨😒😜 We should all have friends this good who know us this well. I liked that he at least had some self awareness and conscience and acknowledged that he hadn't been being a very good friend in return.

@@marcwemtrust1480 He's an ENTP. The way he generates different new ideas eachtime for his videos, that's Ne for sure. An INFJ can generate ideas, but usually we'll stick to developing one idea (Ni) broadly, instead of making 100 small ideas. Also, INFJ humor isn't as good as the ENTP.

Personally I just answer the questions but leave it p short. They kinda get the message I'm not much of a talker that way lol. But I totally feel ya.

The salon I go to has salons in my metro area, AZ and CA. They offer spa services and such and partner with Aveda. Last time I was there, they had a little sign up that (paraphrasing) "if you would like to simply relax and enjoy a quiet service with minimal conversation, please let your stylist know." I think that is awesome. I think a lot of us would take advantage of that. In addition, there would be introverts or people with social anxiety that are stylists. Or they could be neither and just appreciate the quiet while they work on you. The other thing I hate about salons is all the questions. I am an introvert. I have a small group of friends. I don't earn enough money to go on vacations. As a single woman whose friends are either busy with their families or don't want to go anywhere, it isnt safe to vacation alone. Because of my age and the pandemic, it has been hard to find work. I don't like the type of men out there that are available. So it gives me anxiety when I get asked the usual questions stylists ask, "any fun plans for the weekend?" "Any vacations coming up?" "Any kids?" "Husband? Boyfriend?" I am tired of saying "no" to all and feeling embarrassed. I have anxiety and depression which is embarrassing enough. If you MUST ask questions, ask things like "Do you have any streaming services? What do you like?". I find that that question can take you both off in a non-personal direction.

@@missk1534 haha!!!!! What kinds of stuff do you make up? I make stuff up too: I've been on some nice trips and visited some nice restaurants, dated some great guys where the timing just was not right, etc. Growing up, my parents always said I should be a writer. 😆

I backed out of plans with my friends last weekend. A few hours later my doorbell rings... They said: "If you're not coming to us, we're coming to you". ps: I'm living in another city because of college, they came all the way here to hangout with me lol. They're fucking goated

We recently have visitors staying for a few weeks. I so want to just stay in my room, leave when my parents bring them somewhere, but I should really get out of my room once in a while to say hi. But I want someone with me when I'm with them or else I would feel awkward, cause they're also not fluent in English. At the same time, they aren't my visitors anyway so why should I feel obliged to be joining them every time?

@@moonlight__h3676 I guess that's up to your parents and you. But as part of the family and household hosting them, you should try to make an effort to make them feel welcome. I mean think about how you'd feel as a guest in someone else's home. You wouldn't want to feel people were deliberately trying to avoid you or that you were in their way all the time or that they resented you being there. Life isn't about just you and if you act like that, life will give you just you / a very small world. The key to being sociable is to not make it about yourself. Don't be interesting, be interested. Try to think of ways to relate to them and be there for them. Take an interest in them and what their needs and wants and interests are. And show up at least for most group meals. As for all activities, you don't have to do everything with them, but you should try to do some things. And some of the main things if doing anything big, etc. But if you just disappear in your room the entire time that's going to be obviously weird and also taken as rude and maybe even hurtful. If you see it as part of your job in this world to try to be there for other people and make their time on this earth a little better, that usually ends up benefitting you too. Also, it tends to help you grow and stretch a little and become a more interesting and valuable person. There's no growth in the comfort zone. I have heard the word "introvert" used as a verb and that makes sense. When people give into their unsocial tendencies they tend to introvert and close into themselves. Again, that's not where growth and being of value to others happens. Try to think of ways to serve and help others a little every day (including in the form of trying to make their day and life better, being good company, active listening, taking an interest in them, acts of service, etc), and the good will you create might come back to you in surprising ways. You might even make friends. And even if it doesn't, you'll have done a little of your job on this earth that involves more than just taking up space.

Aw thanks. U are so cute. Because most of introverts sound more like: NO! Go away, I do not want to BE with anyone. But going for a silent walk or just cooking in silence or playing some rpg together or cuddle or stuff...You rlly sound very different, not like the most intros I see here on web. :-)
