Thank you for sharing. I’ve been feeling the pull to apply for Masters degree online so I’m searching for a fully funded scholarship in a UK University. I found a few but got stuck in the Application fee part that’s how I found myself here. Your content is insightful. I’ll try these and let you know how it goes. Thank you,
HI, good evening sir, your posts have been really helpful. thank you so much for light and hope. please what kind of document specifically can one attach?
I followed this video closely and sent a similar mail just few minutes ago. I got a response almost immediately. But with a twist. The GC, referred me back to the dept as the body that determines who is fit to be admitted. One of the reasons for sending that mail was to inquire about fee waivers after their response. But obviously, the response did not go as expected. And it is clearly stated on the dept's website, that they DO NOT waive application fees. What do you advise?
First of all, congratulations for taking action. It’s not everyone who goes for what they want. Since it’s clearly stated there then the dept doesn’t waive application fees. What do I advise? Count your cost. Option 1: Do you really love this program, you feel you’re a great fit for it and you think you have a good chance of getting admitted? Then the application fee is worth paying. Option 2: If you answered No to the question above then you can find other Universities that offer your program that’ll be willing to waive your application fees. There are about 4000 universities and colleges in the U.S. so you have so many options. Bonus Option: Check if the dept has an upcoming information session then plan to attend. They usually give gifts to attendees which include application fee waivers.
@@NzubeOhalete It's worth it. Here's their package: GA's receive full tuition waiver for 9-11 new students; Monthly stipend and health benefits; Automatic GTA position. I guess you will advise me to jump on this! I was about to send the mail this morning, but I will just channel my energy to "the other 4000" Universities. Thank you Dr!
Yes please!!! You should jump on it. In addition you can apply to more Universities. You should aim to apply to at least 5 schools. That increases your chances of coming here soon. All the best. 🙌🏼
What if you're asked for a statement that shows that your earnings are just not enough for you to pay for the application fee and you sincerely dont have a job. What do you do?
You can share your bank statement with them for the past 1 or 2 months and emphasize that all income has been from family and friends. Also explain the fact that you don’t have a job because over here jobs are a lot so they might be thinking “you are lazy” instead of “lack of opportunities”
It depends on what the University recommends. They’ll usually state the document to attach. Another option is just to attach whatever you “feel” would increase and not hurt your chances.
Yes they might be but admissions are mostly program dependent (not university dependent) so reaching out to the Program coordinator would be a great first step.
Good afternoon Ademuyiwa. Majorly, it's documents to show you're a great student they can invest in (by giving you the waiver). So this would be your degree certificate, transcripts, and test scores (if you wrote any).
