Hey yall
Ever get jealous of the people who have 5lb grow outs by 8-10 weeks of age. Me too! Lets talk about how you can improve your lines for a better grow out rate. Unfortunately most of what we are talking about is going to be genetic.

Could you do a video about the different brands of cages you have and which ones are your favorites? Looking through the different options for all wire cages.

It would depend on age and what they produce. As a rule though I give three strikes

@@IB_Homestead_Committee ok thanks. I have to look at their pedigrees but I think they are both under 2 or 3. Their two litters they had 6 kits both times. First litter was with their other owner and the other she had 6 with me but they froze, and she was bred before I got her.

should 12 month old rabbits be up to full adult weight? I'm not sure if i would worry about getting 5lb by 8-10 weeks as i want to use the pelt as well as the wonderful meat but i believe 5-6 months is best for pelts. I would love to get experienced opinions on my silver fox plans. What drawbacks do you see to having litters in spring and feeding thrifty on pellets free choice hay and garden weeds n greens throughout summer then fatten them up in fall when they put on winter coat with pellets BOSS and oats and limit hay to keep fiber under 25%. Will the meat be too tough at that age or will they just put on fat instead of meat or does it sound like a good plan ? lol thanks to any experienced opinions to help me make informed decisions as i move ahead.
