I am struggling so much with the tracking. I see so much potential here but i just can't get as close to 1 to 1 as i can, heck i can't even get it as good as yours. So I will try to tinker more and see what i can do. Animaze has so much more potential then say Vtube studio. Those models are basic but the tracking seems much more responsive.
My Animaze don't work for anything. Settings, adjustments nothing. To be honest, I made a test video as I'm about to live stream and the mouth remains opened on my avatar, like he's catching flies. I've actually sent an email to Animaze .. My face tracking don't work but I would even be happy if my lips synched and this don't even work. Look, I really appreciate the video you put out, but it's driving me nuts that I cannot get mine to work. I can use mouse for headtracking even though it loos a little dodgy, and I'd be happy IF the mouth synched to me talking and it doesn't. The mouth does it's own thing, tried to offset in OBS to no avail.. nightmare :(
I would definitely wait for Animaze to respond with some troubleshooting. It is very strange the mouth is consistently staying open. May I ask what camera you use? Like I said in this video it could be your lighting is not bright enough so movement is not being picked up. It could also be caused by a glitch I have encountered that if I make a change to my outfit the avatar gets stuck and the mouth wont open or track at all I usually have to close the program and then recalibrate. I hope Animaze can help you out and get the program working on your PC.
@@xThatAwkwardGamer Hiya.. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. My webcam is a Logitech HD pro C920. Bit of a dated Webcam to be fair. I was thinking about buying the logitech 4k brio but it's really expensive and not sure if it'll improve anything with my avatar. So what I've done is just purchased a ring light (elgato) and see if that helps. I also noticed that if I use headphones and a proper mic and then use the avatar with only mouse tracking , where the mouse moves the head etc.. the lipsync was better.. Not great but better. I think it was picking up sounds previously from my stereo speakers and maybe trying to replicate those sounds via the avatar's mouth in addition to me speaking.. thus all the strangeness... I'm also awaiting a response from Animaze.. I don't have an IPhone I use android. Let's see what the peeps over at Animaze come back with but listen, really appreciate you coming back to me :-) You take care and keep up the good videos.. I'll keep on persevering .. Thanks 👍
You did a good job of explaining this facial tracking.The facial expressions you demonstrate when in low tone of your voice made it looked close to what would've naturally looked without any animation.I really think you can do cartoon animations like the PJ's sitcom if your were to go into that direction.I want to learn this animation cartooning.
Hi there, thanks so much for creating these videos! I bought Animaze Plus 23 from Steam and now thinking about using it for a side business. Your videos are really really helpful. Spent a few days on it with my webcam & DSLR but didn't get good results. Now I realise that I need an iPhone to have the best tracking. Never used an iPhone before so I'd like to ask two questions before buying one if you don't mind. (1) How to use iPhone as a camera on my laptop PC (Win 10)? What is the physical connection like? USB? (2) Can you use a teleprompter app on iPhone while tracking simultaneously?
Hello thank you so much! The iPhone just plugs in via usb connection to your laptop and has to have the Animaze app installed on it and have that app open and connected. You can use other apps while using the iPhone but it may make the battery die quickly and or be something else for your pic to run at the same time which in some cases can cause the pc to run a little slower.
@@xThatAwkwardGamer Thanks for your reply. I've ordered an iPhone 11 and am very excited about using it with Animaze. My laptop is 7 years old (Microsoft Surface Book 2 with nVidia 1060 GPU) so hopefully it won't lag too much.
I need a video about tracking peripherals. For those who use webcams to stream & create videos. What programs or hardware helps tracking? Can you show us in detail how you calibrated the animaze avatar? Thanks Doll! I really appreciated your sisters Sims 4 work. Does she have a channel?
I mentioned that the iPhone is the best peripheral to use for the best tracking you can get because of its tech in the front camera. All webcams will have similar results, Apple patented the hardware in the iPhones camera, as far as I know no other webcam will have these results. I did explain in this video that showing exact tracking settings wont help as everyone moves differently and has different face shapes. It is really trial and error unfortunately for each individual to get the best customized settings. As for tracking software the only thing I use is the Animaze app on iPhone, I plug the iPhone into the computer and the app walks you through the setup to calibrate. It is pretty much just a button in the app and you sit still or a moment while it reads your face, it is very similar to how the webcam works with Animaze. My sister is actually working on setting up a channel possibly in the near future but its not set up yet. 🙂

@@occultpriestess I am not sure about one that does both in that price range. I know of two separate ones that can be used for body or facial tracking but only leap motion is as far as I know compatible with Animaze right now. You can control the game on your PC and OBS just screen captures. All controls are how you would normally control it. If you only have one monitor then OBS will be behind you game. I hope this helps.
@@xThatAwkwardGamer It's too bad you can't do both at the same time in the same view. What would be cool for us one monitor people would be a keybind that let's you switch between the game and OBS in the same view:)
the only thing i am stuck with is the mouth movement i need help with that part other then that everything else is working like a charm how did you get yours moving like a pro?keep up the good work you inspired me to do this
It took a really long time to get the mouth exactly as I wanted it. I even moved closer to my phone recently to get the tracking to pick up my movements even better. It was trial and error while recording myself speaking in Animaze to get it right but definitely took a lot of patience.
Are you using the avatar from the link I put in the description? It is a new site that was updated with new avatars. If you are using that one and it is still not working I recommend reaching out to Animaze for more help for your specific situation.

Hey thanks so much! I never bought the hardware to track my arms so I did not make a video about it because I have not used it before. I know an update made it possible to use a gaming controller to move limbs, but I have not tried it out.

Hi, Tatiana, thanks for the videos. Spent several hours today watching this series and I thought you said somewhere you'd cover you and your sister creating your background in the Sims, but I can't find it. Can you tell me if that explanation exists? I'm sure I could create a pic or a snapshot of a room background in the Sims 4, but what size are you using, is it saved as a bitmap, png, or jpeg? I'm also interested to know how you/she added your name on the wall in the pic. Thanks if you see this.
Hello, I was going to make a video on it but some of the tings I used are no longer working so its taking longer to get the video out then I thought. I can still make a video about the backgrounds part but the animated starting and end screens for streamers I can recreate anymore. My sister basically used some CC in the Sims to make the lettering in the background, but She lost the CC needed to make the room cause she had an issue with her computer, I no longer have the room she made that we took pictures in. A quick summary would be to make a room in the sims that your VTube model lives in or will be recording from. Take screenshots and then like I showed in part one of the series, put that image in OBS. The resolution you are going to stream at will determine how big the size of the photo is. I recommend taking it at 1080p resolution as that's what most people stream from. I may still be able to make a video but it wont be ready until most likely September sometime. I hope this helped I am bad at explaining things when typing it out haha 😅
@@xThatAwkwardGamer Alrighty. No worries on making a video in a hurry. I'm sure I can build a room in the Sims 4 and take screen shots. I don't use cc so I guess writing my own name is out. But hey, decorating is no problem, right? ... Now I'm just trying to remember if there's a way to get the screen shot in 1080 or better, rather than their seemingly low res in game camera, without the info hub still showing. I guess the shots of the room could be zoomed to get rid of the hub. I know the game lets you shut off the hub, just trying to remember if their camera is forced for the pic, though. Anyways, you have a great little video set up for your vtube person.
@@Marylogical sorry for the late reply I did not see it in my notifications! I asked my sister about it because I honestly don't know exactly what she did. She will record her part of the video and explain what she did based on what I wanted and go into how she did everything. She did mention pressing Tab takes the UI away and that the resolution of the screenshot will be whatever you set it to in the games settings. I hope this helps until we can get the video done. 😄

Use animaze.readyplayer.me/en/avatar website instead of the old mentioned for your Ready player Me Avatar. The old way is no longer working I made a short about this in the "How To Become A VTuber" playlist and put edits in the video descriptions. Facial expressions, animations, poses will now work in Animaze if you use this model instead of the old one.
In the pinned comment I mentioned that you need to download the newer version of the model from the site l listed as the older site is outdated: animaze.readyplayer.me/en/avatar If the issues still persists after you load that model in, I recommend reaching out to Animaze directly through discord if that does not help as they may have more info.
I do notice my phone gets warm but I use it plugged directly into my PC while recording. I make sure it is on full battery and turn off my data while the app runs. Also I make sure all tabs and web searches are close as that can help out too.
It could be because of low light, the iPhone works best but I know not everyone has access to one. If you still cant get it working right with the webcam I would definitely reach out to the Animaze team on Discord. They may have more troubleshooting things you can do to get it working better. @@catgray1 I was just thinking, I also wear glasses and I have anti glare on them so I don’t get reflections on my glasses that interfere. Maybe if you get a new pair soon or in the future you can get that to help out with glare. 😃
