Firstly, never apologize for being bad at English, the fact that you have made the effort to learn another language is in itself impressive. You're a damn Wizard man and Thanks for the Epic tutorial. I really needed this help.
Your English was great! Thank you for going through the effort of translating everything for those of us who aren't bilingual. You totally changed my camera setup for the better.
thanks bro wizard and you help me a lot.. to be honest no english is perfect.. i learned that on NY, people create new words or slang every single day.. so your english is really clean to me honestly..
Your English isn't very good?! You had me fooled! You are very articulate and very clear. I had no problems at all understanding you. Thanks for showing us how to get clean HDMI!
Awesome man! Thanks for doing this, I'm going to be offering online drum lessons and am using 2 m100s for different angles. This is a lifesaver as my lessons are 30-60 minutes!
Thank you for sharing. At first it didn't work for me then I updated my firmware from 1.0.0 to 1.1.0 with SD card and now it works!! Also your English is good.
You’re awesome man! I was nearly to get crazy with this M100... great video, great explanations, don’t care if you’re reading... the result is amazing!!!
do you mean switch off? there are two different scripts in the forum. one of them only gives you the clean HDMI, the other also deactivates the automatic switch-off. look if you are using the correct script. I don't think it has anything to do with the fw, but I don't know exactly either ...
Wonderful job, very helpful for my influencer career that's starting to take off, I was going crazy trying to figure this out, and your English was very good and easily understandable. Cheers!
Dude your English is good and thanks so much for making this video I have been using a C920 but would like to use my m100 since its so much better quality. Great Video and I will recommend it to my friends that also have the same camera.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. You just made my m100 a lot more useful. Ihr Englisch war sehr gut und leicht verständlich. Haben Sie keine Angst, es noch einmal zu tun. 👌 vielen Dank
This works! Thank you so much sir! My parents have been struggling with having an ugly on board webcam for their conference meetings, I got lucky i had this M100 lying around here in my house and with your help I made it work as a webcam. thank you so much
Fantastic tutorial! Also, you mic sounds soooo good. Crisp and clear. What mic are you using? And what settings have you made to make it sound so amazing? Cheers from Sweden!
Thank you so much! I use the tonor q9, which is a relatively cheap microphone but in my opinion it has a good sound ... otherwise I added a bit of compression in obs.👌🏻
HEADS UP GUYS..: Just found out that FAT32 also has a minimum volume size of about 260MB so the smallest card you can use is 512MB... Don't fret though, it does still work with FAT instead of FAT32. I have tested it. It seems to still be working as intended so far, but just incase, would be best to get an SD card with minimum of 512MB.
Here a Linux bash version of getting the SD card into script mode - after formatting as FAT you can use this command - it worked for me. echo SCRIPT | dd bs=1 count=6 seek=496 conv=notrunc of=/dev/sdX1 where X is your SD card. And THX for the useful video !
Great tutorial. Thanks. Just need one help. How did you assign the front dial to change the iso. Whenever I use that dial, I could only change the shutter speed. Thanks in advance
Thank you 😁 you can switch through the overlays with the control pad, in the only overlay that is displayed you can select the shutter speed and then change it with the control dial. The change then also works with the clean output
Thank you for this video! wondering if it will be able to record video without red recording dot, etc, dirty hdmi for post livestream HD editing, will be investigating and trying this out! Thanks
Worked for me! was getting memory card error. had to open with notepad++ and re-save. also changed the k to a c in disc for the script file. did this with m100
yes there are very cheap capture sticks on Amazon. they cost 1/10 of a camlink and are not significantly worse... Thanks for the guide!! The clean HDMI on my M10 works fine with this script but the only problem is that the display keeps turning off after a short while. Although I have "Eco Mode" and "Auto Power Down" turned off. The "Display Off" mode is on 1 min. and can't be changed to "off" or "zero". Any ideas?
@@haleyrogers8273 Unfortunately it is not possible with the M100. At least 2 years ago it wasn't. I got a M200 now. It works fine with that one and no need for any scripts. It works out of the box. Although the camera display still switches off after around 15 Min.
@@NOPROTV yes.. thank you. I used Auto Mode before. And after i switch into Manual Mode now the screen clean.. prnt.sc/v6rgpv but i have another issue now because i reset the factory setting on the m100 so on LCD camera now show Yellow Horizontal Grid line but not show in Laptop/OBS/Zoom .. and last issue the LcD now black but show on the laptp screen 😂 try to got some best setting again
A little late to the party but just curious on what cable you are using to run the camera to the Algato cam link ? I dont see an hdmi out on the camera
Incredible tutorial friend! Everything works great, other than my camera being distorted... Anyone have any suggestions/solutions for this? I can rescale in OBS but would like to know why this is happening :) thank you so much!
Wow this is great. This helps more a lot that other tutorial. But can you please help me hot to set up for streaming. what are the cables needed. I don't have hdmi cable that came in with the box. I think Its not really included in the box. Can you show me what are the things needed. Pleaseeeeee. Thank you so much. Thank you also for making an effort to translate this video in English..
Thanks for the tutorial. Does the face detect autofocus still work once you've hidden the menus by running the script? Do you need to run the script every time you want a clean HDMI out?
Yes the autofocus and everything works normally. It’s enough if you put the script on the card once. Whenever you want a clean HDMI you start the camera with the key combination. If you want to use the camera normally, just turn it on with the start button - the SD card can remain inside 👌🏻
Thanks for sharing. Tried on my M100 and it is work the clean HDMI. But after 2-3 minutes it stop "recording". I need to softly pressed the shutter to make it on again. Is it commond problem? My M100 firmware is Ver.1.0.1, I am afraid this is the root couse of the problem.
Hey Marc. Thank you for this video. Could you be so kind and tell which gopro you are using as webcam. Also there seems a remarkable quality difference
does it affect the dummy battery to always turn on the m100 camera when streaming? I use the default camera battery for only 30 minutes, the camera turns on and then turns off and I have to press the button and it turns on again. I ask for a solution. Thank you
Does your camera turn off after 30 minutes, too? I don't understand why... I turned the setting "Auto Power Off" off but it still shuts my camera down (Aperture is still open so the camera is not fully off). I get a Screen which looks like the TV Error with many colors xD
@@NOPROTV do you happen to have a link to one of your livestream with it? Been searching all over the net and I can't find a video showing full screen of the video output from obs.
Great content. have you tried using the Canon webcam software with your M100? I have M100 and want to use it as a webcam but I don't want to buy camlink.
hi thank you! i don't know the software, but according to the website the m100 is not yet supported. Maybe it will come with an update. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a Camlink, there are ten times cheaper alternatives on Amazon. I bought a cheap capture stick myself and would recommend it to others.
Hello thanks for the video, its really helpful, but i got a little problem, the video output that came out, has a purple overlay. Is there a way to remove it? thanks
I had the same problem. You need to edit the extend.m file to accommodate v 1.1.0! Add “ a comma. Then space. Then type in, 110b” after you see the list of firmware version on the first or second line in that script. Ya welcome!
So the "on screen" settings are not accessible, but I'm assuming the dedicated settings screen can be used to change things (with touch screen)? I haven't received my camera yet so wanted to ask. Thanks.
