My daughter taught me this glitch, makes me a proud dad that I started off finding glitches in Morrowind and now my kids are finding glitches in Skyrim haha
Deadra hearts are also purchasable from Enthir (expensive, but always available), and the void salts can be made by combining an amethyst, salt, and any soul gem (filled or empty, makes no difference) at the same place. I've abused this thing often, but I never knew about that chest that held the stone. Good old Skyrim.
Not gonna lie, after nearly 11 years, and a ballpark of 11,000 hours into the game, I've never once realized you can make gear like that. I never spend too much time at the college anyhow, but I still can't believe I missed out on this
@@ExtraordinaryFate It's not all that surprising considering I still learn things about Oblivion, and my playtime on that had a 5 year advantage. While I love exploring the world, I just don't do every quest, and even ones I do, I skip past conversations and just move on. I could tell you the major story beats no problem, but all the minor details are a lost cause for me.
@@hellbell_the_survivor I've done the quest to get the sigil a couple of times, I just never knew about the forge. The video shows the glitch to save time
To be honest I’m surprised it blew up one night I had around 90 views when I woke up I checked my channel video had 1000 views and that was good for me at the time
I used to be a master of glitching through walls when I was 10. Instead of the wooden plate I recommend carrying around like 5 of the large silver platters. The large surface gives you more wiggle room. Literally
Dude I’ve found myself frustrated with Skyrim tutorials where people go off topic or don’t explain enough, yet you manage to make one of the best without even talking😂 thanks man
I am old. I remember the golden days of RU-vid when video uploading was outpacing the technological field of microphones (and even today it still outpaces the field, and always will). What I mean is, there was the early days of RU-vid where MOST of the tutorials were explained via text box (microsoft word, etc) or attempts at obvious physical communication (like in this video, where they keep hovering the cursor over Windhelm, to communicate to the viewer "this is the area of Skyrim you have to travel to") so when I stumbled onto this video via algorithm (again, wow, what incredible progress we have made with RU-vid in a matter of only 15 years) it truly gave me nostalgia being completely without a microphone. Remember, children, RU-vid in it's infancy was just a media platform with a blinding white background page, and almost completely dominated by DIY tutorial videos.
If your having trouble with getting the Sigil stone place the plate on the pillar and then use the whirlwind shout if you have it, makes it a lot easier
I've played this game for 35 years now and amassed 120,000+ hours and I just realized you can walk forward instead of strafing and moonwalking everywhere! Nice catch!
My man, if you played 120000 hours you played the game 1 year before it came out and never closed the game in your life since then. And the game has been out for 12 years, not 35😂
@meatsoup4 @rustyharp2558 you two... ain't the sharpest around ain't ya? It's sarcasm sonny's, since everyone is making the same comment the man that started the thread is making fun of them
Skyrim has so many glitch spots to chests it’s crazy how many things you can miss in this game with 10,000+ hours perfect content filled game 11 years and there’s still plenty of things to do 😂
Tip - when pulling the lever for the offering, if your quick enough, if you go back into the offering box near the altar when the armour is spawning in, you can pick the deadra heart back up.
This method is still working on steam as of 5/9/24. I’ve found it easier to glitch through the wall when I do this 1: grab your wooden plate and position yourself infront of the wall as in the video, looking slightly below eye level 2: WALK towards the wall until the plate TOUCHES the wall THEN start running. The closer you can get to the plate before running, the better I’m able to get through the wall 1 every 5 or so tries with this method. Works better when you try to phase through the left side of the wall instead of the center
Should the plate be payed flat across the pillar or sideways? Thanks for the clarification by the way. Like my reply so I get a notification if you can
1. If you wall glitch under most shops you can steal their stuff. 2. Platters work best, much easier than plates. 3. Under most shops are "do not delete" chests. You can take these and drop them from inentory in open air to get to nutty places, as they flaot where dropped, or get up to chests that hold store goods and rewards ect ect, as you fall through the map. Or conversely, you can use them as stairs to climb up to unreachble spots
the lunar forge and atronach forge would have been cool if you needed to use them to make certain weapons. as they are now they are just for novelty. you should have had to do a quest and use the forge to make daedric armor . it should cost one ebony armor + void salts and daedra heart to make one daedric armor piece conversion.
Ebony armor is not the easiest thing to come by in skyrim espicially in Early levels, not to metion that Ebony Forging is one skill away drom Deadric forging so it kinda would not make since to make it require Ebony armor as it would just be 10x easier to just upgrade your smithing skill and just forge the armor regularly. as a Alternative just remove the randomness and make each piece of deadric armor cost the amount it would to craft it throught smithing, + the other Inquired Ingredients
@@DarkestIQ This is for mage-type characters who probably haven't invested any time into smithing. The Atronach Forge requires zero smithing skill, but you'll need a Conjuration skill level of 90 to legitimately obtain the Sigil Stone. Ebony weapons and armor start to appear as random loot at character level 35-ish (you should definitely be that level by the time you have 90 Conjuration), and many Draugr bosses will carry ebony weapons as well, regardless of level.
With the way I play (everything that has a gold value of 5x its weight or higher gets picked up for selling), I typically have around 4k gold by the time I get to Whiterun for the first time, so you could totally use Lydia for a duplication glitch after you've bought a few hearts and void salts, and mined the ebony ores. Pretty cool!
@@thorodinson275 Go out of the keep with Ralof since the Imperial armor is much higher value. Everything that has a value of at least 5x its weight, pick it up for selling. Should have close to weight cap by the time you leave Helgen. Sell it all once you get to Riverwood, resetting the trader until you sell it all. Then go back and clear Embershard Mine, again picking up everything worth 5x its weight or more. Head back to Riverwood for another selling session, resetting trader as needed (either wait 2 days or save, punch him, then reload the save). Talk to the shopkeeper and start The Golden Claw. Go up to Bleak Falls Barrow and clear it for the quest, still picking up everything with a value 5x its weight or more. On the way up there, stop by the small bandit camp/tower and loot that too. Turn in the quest for an easy 400 gold and you should have roughly 4k by the time you've sold everything from there.
@@thorodinson275I don’t know what that person does, but I buy a box of beer (irl) and chop wood in Skyrim in the lumberyard for a few hours while I drink the beer. You sell the wood to the lumbar yard owner as you chop it and he or she gives you gold in return. I have thousands and thousands of gold by the time I finish my beers :D I do that first in Riverwood but there are other lumberyards where the owner stands closer which makes it easier (less distance to walk while over-encumbered by wood) but yeah it’s an easy way to get heaps of money before actually starting to play the game properly as long as you don’t mind relaxing while chopping wood for a few hours ^_^
I've been working the regular way as a lvl 31 Breton to try and get armor...but now imma just do this to finish my set...just need the boots, gauntlets, helmet and leg armor. Sounds like a lot but I guarantee you the regular way is rather hard😂
It's crazy that even over 11 years later that we're still learning new glitches and tricks in this amazing game. I had no idea you could do this this early in the game!
I remember my first time discovering the carriages and they are a fast travel point to major cities.. after walking and unlocking them that way I find it out ever since I can speed run the game from whiterun
I just used the forge for a storm atronoch spell book, I didn’t even need the sigil. That place was aways the coolest thing I ever saw from day 1, so mysterious
If you have AE I recommend talkin to innkeepers til you get the bounty "Bones for a crow" which is an easy quest that rewards a full set of dragonbone armor, one of which being the dragonbone cuirass, a relic from Morrowind granting the user 100% resist fire, when wielded with Chrysamere youre 100% immune to fire.
I remember when i started the game just went to whiterun to tell the jarl about the dragon and when i wanted to leave i saw that ebony knight that wanted to fight me. I was like level 2 or something just had basic stuff from helgen and after countless times of trying to beat him i finally managed to kill him and got a nice set of ebony armor and even a ebony sword
every time I get through the pillar with the plate glitch, I look down to find the chest and immediately get booted back out by the commission mechanics. WHAT AM I MISSING HERE
I actually didn't knew of that of the Sigil Stone. I guess I'll have to look for how to get it without glitching through walls. Unless that's some Skyrim Anniversary Edition stuff.
I wondered what this daedric forge did, never knew it was a forge tho, i looked up "daedric ritual thing" or something like that back in the day without any answers 😭
It's still so funny on the older version of Skyrim the game wouldn't actually give you daedric boots not enchanted but hopefully they fixed that with the new updated Skyrim
I just checked, and no... it's not fixed. (Steam 1.6.640 + Anniversary Edition DLC/add-on) As described in the UESP/wiki, the problem is that atronach forge output the variant worn by the Dremora race (not playable, hidden in your inventory) instead of playable races (Nord; Imperial; Breton; Orc; etc) variant. Unofficial patch mod will fix it and output the correct playable Daedric Boots, but I'm pretty sure it will also fix the plate/wall glitch at the beginning of the video.
Ways to get Ebony Ingots: Gloombound mine Ways to get Daedra Hearts: Either buy from Babette (Kid from dark brotherhood sanctuary) or complete the dawnstar museum quest (you can fast travel to mehrunes dagon shrine as much as you want and you will get 2 daedra hearts by not entering it and get 4 daedra by entering the shrine) Ways to get Void Salts: Buy from alchemists
I didn’t look for this it found it’s way to me? I haven’t even played Skyrim in how long why is this being recommended? I think it’s a calling to go on a three 3 week binge adventure
Does this break any quest lines, isn't the sigil stone a quest item? Can you put it back or is it stuck in the inventory? This is a pretty way to get dedric armor early though.
it's will not cause you get the item with that chest what is outer of the game! all of them is not break nothing... :S similar like add items with command console... but more simpler with command console... this is not a mechanic!!! nor an exploit but really break the natural flow of the game! currently you get that chest with a half-glitch.... :S (command console with ghost mode....)
stealing in skyrim is alot like stealing from walmart. all u gotta do is pick it up, walk with it a while, and then put it in ur pocket while no one's looking
End of the the video was so speed up i couldnt tell what was happening, at all... why speed it up so much? During the last 45 seconds of the video that matter the most...
Can somebody please tell me the name of the spell he uses at the beginning of the video?? Please I don't know what it is a lot of spells look the same.
here in 2024 and just found out you don’t need to glitch through the pillar you can just crouch against a certain side of the pillar over top of where the chest sits and it’ll let you search it. still a great tutorial video tho👍
