Hi this is very insightful. Can I ask a question? What do you think about International University of Applied Science for online MSc Data Science in Germany? Is that great? Thank youuuuu
@acoupleingermany
@acoupleingermany 2 года назад
Thank you 😊 we're glad that you found it helpful. We have heard a lot about these courses. We won't like to comment on its credibility however, in our opinion, it's better to do a course in Germany rather than an online course. This helps you save a lot by doing part-time jobs and more importantly, you start getting integrated into the German society

@@acoupleingermany Thank you for your opinion, btw is it easy to get part-time jobs in Germany? and should I speak germany?
@acoupleingermany
@acoupleingermany 2 года назад
@@pagibuta9132 this entirely depends on where you stay in Germany. If it's a small town, then knowing German will be critical to getting the odd jobs. For part-time jobs, English might be sufficient or you might require A2-B1 level German. If you stay in a big city, then English might be sufficient for odd jobs as well as part-time jobs. In any case, knowing German opens a lot of opportunities for you

If a university says they don't want any English proficiency test because of English background ,so in that case do I need to do any English language proficiency test or not what you suggest for this. Thanks.
@nikhilkumarjha
@nikhilkumarjha 2 года назад
If the University admission criteria doesn't demand an English language test or certificate, then you don't really need it. But its better to take it, except if you are only targetting to apply at this one single place.

Please make a video for diploma + bachelor students for masters
@acoupleingermany
@acoupleingermany 2 года назад
Hey thank you for the suggestion. Adwait did diploma before his master's and he had no issues in terms of getting admits because of his diploma. If that was your question, then you need not worry. Just apply. If you have some other question related to Diploma+bachelors then please ask.

I am BE in mechanical, and want to do data science in Germany? If due to any reason, i am unable to get data science job in German, can i apply for some mechanical jobs?
@acoupleingermany
@acoupleingermany 2 года назад
Hi Varun, thanks for reaching out. Yes you can get jobs in Mechanical as well however that would depend on your past experience. If you have prior experience in Mechanical and that too for more years then it would be fairly easy. If the experience isn't too high then you might have to start from entry level positions. As you said that you want to do data science, the above answer is applicable under the assumption that you're coming to Germany for Masters

Diploma in data science is sufficient to get job in German from India is okay....?
@acoupleingermany
@acoupleingermany 2 года назад
Well most of the job descriptions mention that you should have at least Bachelors. So I would say if possible, pursue Bachelors post Diploma. If you have a significant work experience i.e 5+ years and are working as Senior data scientist or Lead data scientist then recruiters might be a bit lenient about the academic requirements. But it's better to have at least bachelors

Germany is the worst country I heard usually for studying master's in Germany it takes 3.5 years minimum and stress full visa regulations with the blocked account or else some stress full part-time job and to this tension german language with extra stress from professors who fail students mostly. Don't go for Germany without 5 years of experience or else it's a waste country..so i choose usa where english and masters is just like 15 months and will land in a job happily with higher packages
@acoupleingermany
@acoupleingermany 2 года назад
Ever heard the phrase "Half Knowledge is always dangerous"? First of all only Masters in a University or TU takes long time, in Uni Applied Sciences/FH, the course usually completes in two years and that too with a Master Thesis.The point you make about masters being just 15 months is mostly applicable to just MIM courses. In that regard, there are private universities where course is just 1-1.5 years. Now about the expenses for Masters, the amount you would be paying for MS in US, one can finish 2 or maybe 3 Masters in Germany. In many states of US, doing part-time job is illegal however, students still manage to do it illegally. If caught, there's a risk of deportation. In Germany, you can legally work and gain experience and also minimize your expenses. Finally, there could hardly be anything as illogical as someone thinking about studying in the US and talking about stressful visa regulations. You get 18 months job seeker visa after your masters in germany also post getting a job, PR within 2-3 years. Compare this with the waiting time for US Green card. Hope this helps! Eventually, you're the one who is going to make a decision about your life. But don't post comments without knowing things properly
