I am just planning to start selling on Amazon FBA on DE market. I am living since one year in Germany and I think that this is the right market for me for now. I am following the Amazing Selling Machine course but I still find few things missing from there. First of all, EAN and EORI is one of the missing points. Other interesting points would be some Financial Advisors that you could recommend working with in Germany. How to set-up a company in Germany for Amazon and which kind of options are available. Keep it up!
Hi Lisa, it was very helpful but I have a question with EAN number. For every piece of product we need a EAN number or for example I’m selling bags so the bag will have a 1 EAN number or each Bag will have a unique EAN number?

You need to start an Einzelunternehmer and get yourself a VAT number. You need both EAN codes and EORI number, its not the same... these are two separate things.
Hello Liza. It was an amazing video. Thank you so much. This is Prajwal, I am an Indian who completed my master's here in Germany and currently working here. I have seen a couple of videos where people mostly sell in the US (Sold both by US citizens and people from Canada). Do you also sell your products in the US? If so, can we use the same EAN number that we have generated on the German website? (I assume yes!). However, I haven't come across anyone talking about the EORI equivalent number for selling in the US. Is the EORI number meant exclusively for selling in Germany or Europe for that matter? I would love to hear from you.

I applied to an arts and crafts contest in Germany and have to deliver handmade accessories to the organization that holds the contest and I have only the institution name and address...Can you tell me if I need and EORI and need to know theirs in the items are not for sale to complete an invoice? Liza, fabulous! One question - while filling in the TAX number, I see there are 2 fields regarding that. One is tax number (of your company I suppose), another one is ID tax number. Aren't they the same? Do you sell as a physical entity or you registered a german company selling your product on amazon?
Natalie Natalie hi Natalie, sorry for late reply. Steuer ID is your personal identification number which every person gets even if they don’t own a company. It’s just the ID that helps tax authorities identify you, like a passport, and every private person gets one when they register in Germany.
Hello Liza! I wanted to ask does it play a big role where your warehouse is stationed. For instance I live in Ingolstadt with significantly less population, while you are in Berlin, therefore my question is: are there more hidden costs associated with selling your product such as greater transport costs, etc if you live in a small city. Hi Dimitres, thank you for your comment. If you are using AMAZON FBA model, your product should be sent directly to the Amazon warehouse, which will not be decided based on your location, but based on Amazon preference. When you created your account on Amazon as amazon seller, after you create your listing, you would have to ship your products to Amazon warehouse, but they will be the once that tell you to which warehouse to ship. Your costs will not change from that, your costs will depend on which country you are shipping the goods from. To import goods you need to find a freight forwarder who can both ship and do customs for you. You would need to have EORI number. If you don’t want to sell through amazon you should create an e commerce website via Shopify.

You need to start an Einzelunternehmer in order to sell on Amazon. I am not sure how your visa status affects that. I would consult a Steuterberater (Tax advisor) who could help you with starting an Einzelunternemer and make all the docuemnts ready
