One question I got asked recently was how to land a job in the UK when you have no previous work experience in the UK or when you just graduate from a university. In this video, I'm giving you some tips on what you can do to get your very first job after moving abroad or fresh out of uni.

I live in Vietnam and planning on moving to London by the end of this year! I was previously an accountant before coming to Vietnam. Also want to finish my ACCA qualification ☺️ thanks for your videos!

Have been binging on your videos for a while, great video as always ❤️ As an accountant, I would love to know your view on job recruitment agencies in the UK. Particularly for foreigners finding the first finance job.

First of all, thanks for watching! There isn't specific recruitment agencies that recruit for foreigners that I know of to be honest. All of them are going to be asking you for the "right to work" in the UK, unless the role is extremely difficult to fill then the recruitment agency may try to talk to the company to offer visa sponsorship for a non resident. On all the websites I mentioned in the video, perhaps try to look for accounting job which require both English and Mandarin speaker (assuming you can speak Mandarin)? There shouldn't be too many candidates with all these skills locally which makes you stand out amongst others. Good luck and keep me posted! :)

Hello Poppy, I complicated my ACCA qualification in my home country but I don’t have an accounting work experience . I however migrated to the UK last month with the hope of getting a job in the practice industry but non is forthcoming. I need your advice on how to get a job in the practice industry without an accounting experience.

In this climate it is going to be harder to find a job but I've seen some accounting jobs out there still. May I ask what qualification do you hold? The preference here is someone with ICEAW, ACA, ACCA and CIMA, these qualifications are prioritised higher than university degree. Age is less of an issue over here as long as you have the right qualification and experience :) I do plan to make another video in January about interview techniques as I do get asked a lot. I am coming to uk on spouse visa and I have masters in science.can I find job very soon and easily?my english is better but not fluent.please guide me

You'll have right to work with the spouse visa which will definitely give you an easier time than someone who will need a sponsorship from a company. If I were you I would try to start searching and applying for jobs few weeks prior than coming here as interviews are most likely going to be online anyway. Re English, I think it depends on employers and what they're expecting but I would think if you can communicate your points across clearly and can get work done, there shouldn't be a problem. @@thrindurangana8447 In London you won't have any problems what so ever in terms of surviving, the city is very diverse. In terms of jobs, it depends on your skills too and whether you can communicate effectively.
