Ngl I work in McDonald's in UK and if a customer said you forgot my large fries or Drink then Its literally store policy to just give the customer it no questions asked. Try to go when it's busy tho so people are rushing and they can't be bothered to check.

I started a startup and with funds being tight, I was trying to do the conference thing without spending $2k per ticket. I did one conference that was $3k to attend, but turned up to ticket collection day and grabbed a lanyard and it looked like I was getting my ticket/ badge. I made sure a lot of people saw me too, introduced myself loudly to a few people, security saw me etc. The conference was at a hotel and I spent the whole 3 days there, had my lanyard hanging out of my suit jacket pocket and no one questioned it. I was invited to people's tables for the dinner events and even ended up at the after party after the main keynote with all of the hosts! I was so skint I relied on the sponsors events in the evening and invites I'd blagged during the day to get any food for the day! Must have saved myself about 5k on that trip. 😂😂

I’ve worked in 3 hotels in the past 3 years so I can help a little I feel. Always pick bigger hotels, less of a chance people realize they don’t recognize you. My hotel now has 53 rooms and i at least vaguely remember every guest until they leave. Pick a corporate hotel like holiday inn, sleep inn etc. My resort gives out bright wristbands to guests because of us being a literal beach resort and we already are busy enough before the people that don’t pay. Very rarely do us small resorts give out free nights or fully refund, there has to be a big issue. I worked at a Sleep Inn and a Country Inn and the corp offices gave those out Willy nilly. Always be overly nice when you walk in. We hate people who complain and get mad over small things off the jump. If you walked into me at the desk and were overly nice and asking baseline questions, I’ll genuinely not give a fuck what you do on property because we rarely get nice people.

Every time I've been to a hotel in the last 10 years I was asked for my room no. at breakfast. Also nowadays you can't normally even use the lifts without a key card.

The McDonads trick kinds happend to me once. We was in Bay 1 and my mum checked our food wrong and thought we were missing a large fries and i think a cheeseburger so she asked for them and they came back with the food, we got home and she realised that we did in fact still have the fries.

Top trick to get free food or drink at Pret. Go in while old people or emergency services are in there. If the staff see you letting a senior or paramedic skip ahead of you in the queue they will give you freebies or a discount.

I had a free movie ticket for Fate of the Furious and long story short i saw 5 movies in one day without paying a dime for admission. All you gotta do is look at showtimes during the movie and see whats playing by the time the film ends. If theirs a custodian, keep your head down and go to the bathroom.

Pizza Hut all you can eat buffet. When you’ve finished tell whoever is with to leave your off to the loo, you’ll lay in the way out. Then just leave after the loo. Spend a good few minutes in the loo. They’ll not notice you leaving.

as someone who works in hotel reception, this realy pisses me off. Some people just conplain to get discounts or something for free, insalt workers and make their difficult.

I went with my brother his family my partner. It’s all you can eat breakfast. So rather than everyone get a breakfast, I order or got 10 of everything. You only pay for the one breakfast. But feed everyone. I even said to the manager there’s nothing stopping is there. He said no. They said no one had Ever done it before, and it was a good idea. He quoted. So premier inn, breakfast.
