For every hero you need 2000 medals. 8000 for 4 heroes. With this amount of medal you can upgrade 66 buildings,army,heroes and pets. You don't have to grind and wait for those updates. Also you need 20 months if you grind 400 medals every cwl. So unless you're maxed out and your medals are wasting. It's not worth it. Max your village first.

Hammer of building cost you 120 medals. 2000 md for a skin that equal 16.5 hammers. An end game building cost you around 18 - 20 days. 1 skin will cost you around 297 - 330 days. Not worth unless you already max out everything

Only if you’ve already maxed, or else who would waste those medals on these skins, the hammers and potions are wayyyg more valuable
