Many routes to Leipzig lead via Frankfurt International Airport. This video shows the way from there to Lancaster University Leipzig in just a few steps:
1) Check where your flight to Leipzig departs from. There may be a change of gate. Follow the signs to that gate number through the airport.
2) When boarding is open, enter the aircraft and take the seat indicated on your boarding pass. Within one hour you fly to Leipzig.
3) After landing, follow the signs to "baggage claim" to collect your luggage. With all your belongings, walk to the “rail station”. Just follow this sign all the way through the airport. The train station is one level down from the Airport. Go to Plattform 1. All trains there lead to Leipzig Main station.
4) At platform 1 remember to buy your ticket from one of the red machines. You can do it in English. Type in “Leipzig” and click on the suggestion “LEIPZIG” in capital letters. It will then show “Hauptbahnhof”, which means main station. Then choose the fastest and cheapest route. All trains go straight to the main station. After paying cash or by card, you will get your ticket. DON'T FORGET TO STAMP THE TICKT NEXT TO THE MACHINE!
5) Enter the train and it will take you in about a quarter of an hour to Leipzig main station or how we call it "Hbf". That stands for Hauptbahnhof/ main station.
6) At the main station you go upstairs and leave the building. You will see “Nikolai Street” in front of you. Follow this street for about 600 metres. Before you reach the St. Nichola’s Church you will see “Strohsack Passage” on your left. This is where Lancaster University Leipzig is located!
