Nomadic Jas is in the City of Krakow on a journey to Auschwitz Concentration Camp which was the main camp during the Second World War responsible for over 1.1 million deaths. I show you the most easiest way to get from the city centre to the camp on the bus. It’s a simple process boarding the bus and getting a ticket for the journey which takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. The journey starts at the Krakow Bus Station and ends in front of Auschwitz 1 (The Main Camp). So come and join Nomadic Jas on this journey from Krakow to Auschiwitz.

Buses normally start at 8.am and depending on the season run until the evening till late

Kudos to the Government of Poland and to President Andrezj Duda in particular for seeing to it that the monuments marking the Holocaust in Poland are very well maintained. Do you know how often the bus goes directly to Auschwitz? and are buses available to go back to Krakow?

They are roughly every hour from Krakow. From Auschwitz main camp, there is a bus stop where the bus that goes back to Krakow, stops at. So you will have no problem in getting back as the buses run all day

It's pretty much the same schedule. Since Auschwitz is visited by a lot of people all year round, the buses run regularly

Hello! Does the bus take you only till Oświęcim or till Auschwitz? I see the distance between the 2 is around 2.5km.

The bus takes you to Auschwitz 1 with a number of stops on the way. You will see the the main camp from the bus and it stops very close to the main entrance. As soon as you exit, you will see the entrance.

But you took the bus for Oświęcim at the Krakow station yes? As per the video.

Yes, Oświęcim is the Polish name for Auschwitz. Oświęcim (Auschwitz in German) is the actual town. The bus takes you to the town Oświęcim (Auschwitz) and has a number of stops in the town and stops at the main camp.
