Forgot to mention what pets to use -- You have 2 choices, a pet that gives you movement speed and has mortal strike (reduces enemy's healing), or a pet that gives you health and has mortal strike. For the speed pet, the best choice is an undead raptor. You should just google how to tame an undead raptor in wow and follow those steps. The other option is to use any endurance pet with mortal strike, these include riverbeasts, hydras, basilisks. So either undead raptor or riverbeast is what I use. You will decide which one you want to use based on what you're fighting. If you need movement speed and master's call to get out of roots, run the speed pet (good against things with alot of roots like frost mage, ele shamans, or warriors where you need to kite). If you are against something like a subrogue and you need extra hp to not get 1 shot, run the tankier riverbeast.
I don’t even play hunter and wasn’t planning to, but I’m pretty new to wow and definitely pvp, and this was eye opening for me! Feel like I’m just starting to understand more, but as you said every guide just focuses on talents and gear and when they talk about the actual playing they make it seem like you need to understand every facet, it was nice to hear a basic game plan that you could follow without needing to know everyone’s abilities and cooldowns (although it would make it a lot more effective and I’m sure you do that in your games 🤣)
I’ve never had any interest in playing Hunter. I’m a healer main. But this guide was so well done I’m rolling a hunter right now because I wanna try this out! Love the format, the pacing, your chill vibe, but especially that you detail how to actually play the game! Insanely great guide. (Now do a healer one 🙏)
I risk it for the biscuit and throw long range traps all the time. Wait for the healer to start a cast and chuck away. If it works then it’s a big momentum swing
Finally, a BM hunter that i can follow! Thank you so much for a great content! New sub :) Can you please upload some of your solo shuffle games and maybe do a voice over so we know exactly what you were doing/thinking on how to set up kills? Would love to see how you juggle your defensives/offensives and CC all at the same time. I've been trapping first right from stealth because right when i open and get trained, its so hard to get a trap off. Would love an opener guide as well showing it in real game, i know every situation is different but a standard opener seeing it in action would be nice! Thanks again bro! Appreciate your time!
Thank you for the guide! Though I completely disagree with “always take diamond ice”. Diamond trap is awful due to 3 reasons: 1) it’s shorter; 2) it cannot be surely followed with another cc (like priest’s fear); 3) it takes a slot in PvP talents
Bossman! great video. Doing pretty much what you are saying, but I live in South Africa and play at 170ms, so 2200 is my ceiling... Now all you got to do is the same guide for MM and Survival. You know you have to. 😝
I know, who am I to ask a Rank 1 if there is a better way. But, do you think linking barb shot and dire beast to the same click would be efficient? So in my head you are hitting barb shot to keep stacks up and I noticed that you have dire beast off CD quite a bit. Would it hurt to have it /cast barb shot and /cast dire beast. I know sometimes, it may not line up but, most times dire beast is just and added bonus to damage and doesnt have much reason to be cast solo. What do you think and how wrong am I?
@@bradoncampbell2626 that’s a great idea and a good question but the problem is both barbed shot and dire beast are on the global cooldown. So if you were to macro them to the same button, it wouldnt work. You would only be able to do one of them at a time and so it will be better to keep them separate so you can use your best judgement to decide when to use each one.
Mine isn't showing on character pane either but I'm not sure whether or not it's actually working or not. Another guy said it doesnt show there but it's always been that way
@@snookajam so you need to convert pvp pieces into tier. You can do it for 3 of the pieces at the catalyst (so once you have the conquest gloves you can go turn them into tier pvp gloves at the catalyst) also you csn go to the spider people tier vendors and make sure you get the pvp one. There are 2 vendors - one sells pvp tier and one sells pve, make surr you get the pvp. You get a free token to buy the piece from them once u hit 1600 rating in pvp
hmmm well I'd recommend getting the weakaura first to help you see it. The main thing is once you use one barbed shot, you cant use the next one until the last one you used it about to run out. If you always do that you will maintain 3 stacks. You also get 1 free barbed shot to use every time you cast bestial wrath by following my talents.
