Good basic walkthrough video. The hardest part is if they ask for a technical proposal with the RFP and there is competition. The company I work for, we are 8a certified and our first government contract was the "sole source" to us. I've worked on RFP and even had counter-offered worth millions of dollars but the government ended up going with the old contractor that they had for 5 years, which is not fair since these contracts are supposed to help small businesses grow.

It was the simple process of getting started but I must say that registering is not that simple if you have special conditions like a virtual office etc. I had to call SAM help desk for help. Also, the bidding is not that simple, you can know what your business does, but you do not know if it applies to that specific contract. It is not easy or simple BUT do not stop. I am still trying to understand and bid for our company. Call, text etc whatever is provided for that contract so that you can get a clear understanding if you qualify to bid. God bless everyone who owns and operate a small business.

Education, and securing the safe environment conducive to achieving their goals really overwhelmed and consumed my time energy and life. Excellent video for those new to procurement. Worth noting-SAMMI Will Replace DUNS. SAMMI is a unique identifier in SAM.gov. "the General Services Administration (GSA) will implement a transition away from DUNS identifiers. Federal systems will instead rely on a new unique entity identifier called System for Award Management Managed Identifier (SAMMI)." This change was expected to happen 12/2020 but will likely be delayed until 12/2022. Just FYI!

They are now transitioning from DUNs number to their own. Whoever has the entity registered, they should confirm their identity and their new number will automatically be confirmed.
