It would depend on the school. Most schools request that your gpa is at least 3.0 on a 4 scale

Hi ma'am, please i want to ask. When is one supposed to apply for G.A, is it after getting admission or before getting admission. I mean when is one supposed to start sending mails to proffesors indicating interest in G.A positions, is it after submitting my application or after getting admission? Would appreciate your response

Hello, it depends on the school. Some schools will want you to submit an application for GA during admission process and for some schools it would be an entirely different process. I encourage checking the website of the school you’re applying to.

Do you have to write an essay to get the GA and if yes, what should be the content of the essay or application letter

Hello, it depends on the university. Some school might have you write a letter and other schools don’t. The school also gives you the topic to write on. For my university Kent State-I only had to write an essay for admissions not for GA
