Bro! Check your commitment to the hobby! Can’t eat a comic? I eat newsstands for breakfast. Can’t sleep in a comic? I sleep in a bag, on a board and X-Men #14 is my comforter.

Congrats man! That book looks mighty fine! It's on my list too.. But I'm focused on Asm right now.. Close to completing my run #1-101

Excellent score! I have my eye on it but I'm saving for my perfect Fantastic Four 48 to complete my Silver Surfer/Galactus/Heralds collection 🚀🚀🚀 Mid-grade or below is right up my alley for these expensive books!

I had always been someone to up grade 1st and sell then lower grade 2nd . But in this current market that was becoming increasingly difficult to do. So I decided to flip the script and once I had found a grade that I wanted go ahead a sell the lower grade and use that money toward the nicer book. That allowed me to drop 10k in 1 wk (definitely not in my budget) and secure 4 higher grade personal grails. It felt really risky but worked out well. Conversely, I've sold big keys in the past with the intent to up grade down the road and then they exploded and are currently out of my range. Anyway, congrats on the new key and thanks for sharing!

You are so positive, upbeat, informative and helpful bro. I’ve done a deep dive into your videos. I’m just getting back into serious collecting. While it does bring me great joy and gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling, I do want these books to be something I pass down to my kids. They’re a good investment and I’m glad I came across your channel. By the way, did you win an Emmy?

Great video! I appreciate the minimalist approach to comics. That is something I struggle with. What was the emmy for? I'm an actor btw. Only small parts for now. Maybe an emmy is in my future.

Great video! I’m having fun picking up low grade silver age keys. It’s more affordable and I try to get ones that present well.

Very helpful video for a collector like myself who is on a tight budget. I recently found an awesome and very inexpensive #1 Sabertooth, the books you mentioned are a tier or two above that and are titles I am/will bevpursuing.

I am olso doing ASM right now a fin from 70 to 200 and then work my way down a #1 is just to exspensive right now 😂

One Grail I’d love to own is the amazing Spider-Man #1 two big key issues I own are Star Wars #42 and Star Wars #68 Both Newsstand editions

One book I’m proud to own is Star Wars #42 first appearance of Boba Fett newsstand edition and those are harder to find than the Direct edition it’s mid Grade or low Grade but it presents well and with the Book of Boba Fett coming out soon I’m probably Going to Get it Pressed and cleaned and Graded to keep it in nice condition

I have this Ironman #1, been collecting since 1975, I did stop in 97. Started again in 2019, Johnathan Hickman's run on X-Men drew me in. I may try your technique with Silver Surfer#4, a comic I once had. I don't need a 9.8.

Really well made video. Im just getting back into comics and wanna trade up to a maybe like a 4.5 giant sized x men. I currently have a shang chi first appearance thats probably like a 3 that I found in a random lot I got for free. So thats what im working with to get to a giant sized.

I thought finding Ghost Rider Vol 2-1 was going to be hopeless after seeing the graded prices but I got a really, really good looking raw copy for $45 CAD. I’m just new to collecting but I’ve already gotten some good scores.

Good video and advice. Also a very nice display in the background . Just wondering if that's a custom DIY job or can you buy those particular display shelves ; they obviously complement comics perfectly. Subscribed !

Thanks! Not a DIY, just simple IKEA picture frame shelves. Look up a line called “Mosslanda”, they are a shelf with an indentation. Perfect for comics. I put two side by side to make the length I have. Each fits about 6 comics.

An ironman 1 wow you have an amazing book in your hands and I am only an 15 year old kid trying to build up my collection and the top key issues I have right now is Amazing spider-man 252 and venom 27 and I just bot an amazing spider-man 8.5 I am very happy. Asm 252 9.2 and venom 27 signed 9.2 . With books that are bronze copper and modern I wich graded I would do lowest 8.0 and if nesery 7.5 but that is realy realy the lowest . And with silver age and golden it does not realy matter to me . But I hope to get an iron man 1 one day

Thanks! And hey, having an ASM 252 at 15 is way better than what I had at your age! Sounds like you got a nice collection brewing yourself. Keep at it and you'll get that Iron man 1 one day :)
