Extracting a video, image or music from a PowerPoint presentation is easy. Follow these simple steps
Organize your work
Create a folder by right clicking, select NEW, then click on FOLDER. Next, drag the PowerPoint presentation you are going to use to the new folder. Here COPY then PASTE your PowerPoint presentation.
Changing extension
The PowerPoint extension is "pptx". If you cannot see the extension go to the main menu and click on VIEW then select SHOW and click on “FILE NAME EXTENSIONS”
Now in the copy you have created, right click. Then click on this icon to rename the extension from pptx to zip. A warning message is opened asking you if you really want to change the extension. Click on ok
Extract files
Now as you can see the folder has changed its extension to a zip extension. To extract the files or unzip them do this. If you are a Windows user double CLICK on the folder to unzip it. If you are a Mac user you need to go on Google to find the appropriate software to unzip the folder.
Once you have unzipped the folder you will see many folders related to the PowerPoint presentation. Of all the folders, find and double click on the PPT folder. Then double click a folder called media which contains all of the pictures, videos and music you want to use. And that’s it.
