*These are easy to use and highly visible **enjoyable.fishing** recommend they are extremely valuable for going from a dead drift set up to a float setup. They save time and you don't have to re-tie everything to add a float to your presentation.*

Great video, I am thinking about getting one of these bad boys. Cheaper than a boat and kayak and easier to transport. How far out do you usually or can you usually go?

Would you recommend Crocs as a foot wear when walking on this sharp rocky shore?
@floattubefishingontario3645
@floattubefishingontario3645 4 года назад
Crocs on the rocky shore are highly recommended because of their thick sole. You will have float them behind the float tube on a string however, as they will not fit inside the fins. They can also double as floatation devices in an emergency. Keep on Floating

What model / make float tube is that? I'm looking for one as I live in Central BC and have lakes literally everywhere but can only dock / fish so much. Not like I can fish much right now anyways being on fire and all. This fire season is absolutely insane. Cool vid!

Try Bucks Bags. Simple. Wear Tevas when wet wading. They attach easily to fins. Don't need all the bells and whistles. Can also hike in with it. You still sit partially in the water. Check it out.

Great tips. I just got the same float tube and cant wait to get it wet. Hopefully it will warm up soon. I am in the Ajax area and would love any recommendations for fishing spots round this way.

I'm on the west side of the GTA, so I go for small lakes and rivers around here, Belwood Lake, Grand River etc. Is there anything in Lynde Creek? Always pre-scout unfamiliar territory for entrance and exit point. Careful of any wind over 15km/hr. Keep on Floatin'

So u dont need waders or boots for this specific model?
@brettjohnson2141
@brettjohnson2141 3 года назад
This specific model is a Cumberland series from classic accessories. As far as needing waders/boots I would base that off of aquatic animals. ;) the only thing we would do different from this video is backing up as close to the boat as possible and putting on fins while standing and then pushing out into the waters. But- good tutorial!!

How resistant are they to sharp rocks and what not, hooks included. Lol im leaning more on these then kayaks atm because of how portable it is out of water. The down side is what if i have an accidental hook or if i go to extremely shallow waters with sharp rocks?

All the river rock I encounter are nicely rounded from the water, but you're right some are rough. I've ridden down lots of whitewater and gone over tons of rock and gravel with my 200lbs grinding the rubber into the rocks, without a scratch. The only problem I had was one boston valve strap broke so I have to be careful not to loose it. The Cumberland is durable. Keep on Floatin'

Float Tube Fishing Ontario ohh, thank you! The video was helpful too, just picked up a smaller one just yesterday and took it out for a test run, it was a great experience.

Reminiscevaj "How resistant are they to...hooks" You DO need to be careful with hooks, but if a hook does puncture a tube you don't need to be worried about it popping like a balloon. Instead, you'll have a slow leak that won't be an immediate problem but will cause the tube to slowly deflate over time. I keep a couple of tube patches in one of the storage pockets on mine, and they're easy to use; not like the bicycle inner tube patches from my childhood.

Hi just bought one from decathlon today,I am impressed,4 separated bladders which means if one gets damaged you are ok,covered by a tough outer skin ,I have been a dedicated kayak fisherman for many years but at 72 years young struggle to load store carry a heavy yak,on top of my rv,known as motor home in uk,known as autocaravan in my new home Portugal. I have for weeks sat fishing on the bank and watch tubers hammer big bass,and even bigger zander,I will be a virgin float tuber joining them tommorow, wish me luck. Fact is I am a trout master in uk plus fly tyer,but sadly no trout in my region in central Portugal only very further north.

I have the same exact float tube. The thing I like about that float tube is it's easy to get on and off in deep water, like if you decided to go for a swim or use the bathroom in the water.

fast flow fishing "...do you think it would survive in salt water" I use mine as a scuba diving float in salt water, and it works just fine. Like all of my equipment, I rinse it well after each use so salt deposits don't build up. I also lube all the zippers periodically with zipper protectant: www.leisurepro.com/p-mcnzt/mcnett-zip-tech-semi-solid-zipper-lubricant-1-2-oz-14-g

Float tubes and wind do not mix. The paddles are necessary precaution especially on a lake

@@rockleafsman1 I agree! I've had way too many long slogs back to the launch. Curious as to you method of assembly and use while on the water. After watching this video, I ordered a kid's size kayak paddle.
@rockleafsman1
@rockleafsman1 4 года назад
I use a two price paddle and snap it together when I need it. On rivers, I use one half when the current is strong, I lift my fins up out of the water and use the paddle to keep myself straight while riding the current
