How to Apply for an IDP:

Digital IDP vs. Physical IDP:

- Physical IDP:A physical IDP is a printed document that you can carry with you while driving in another country. It contains your personal information, a photograph, and details about your driver's license.
It's important to note that an IDP is not a standalone document and must be accompanied by a valid driver's license from your home country. Additionally, IDP requirements and acceptance vary by country, so it's essential to check the specific requirements of the country you plan to visit before applying for an IDP.

Both have their own perks. Visiting RTO and getting it done is a easy task if you live in the same city/town where you got the DL . Other wise travelling to that city/town is an overhead+ irrelevant if you are already out of India

First problem sirf rto me ati hai-Visa on arrival ka option ata hai apply karte samay. Agar aap rto se karte hai to zyada time bhi lag sakta hai lekin agar maine jaha se kiya waha se karte hai to aapko buffer time minimum 1 week consider karna padega apply karne k baad and travel date k pehle.

This is just a translation of your driving licensee into multiple languages. This is not an International Drivers License! Hence this is not legit. If you check reditt this is mostly a scam because of the cops catch you they don’t consider this !

Hi there. I checked with rto commissioner here in Chennai and asked about only one country being mentioned and they said that they will give an annexure with it which says that it can be used with 150 countries. It is not for single country only.

@@roninr8199 To be honest i was in same shoes as yours couple of years back and when i say things in video its from my experience . I have been to different RTOs and they do not support you or guide you as quick as we need . But to cut the long story short , tell them its a visa on arrival country so flight ticket is fine or not. If no then you have to apply e-visa on arrival or EVOA as they say . Then upload it. Regarding missing queries i am not sure what they will ask more but that is sure it will take you multiple visits to RTO.

it's valid only for the country you have valid visa. You cannot apply get it for multiple countries in one shot. There is lot of gap in uniformity of IDP (sometimes they give one paper, some times booklet) . You have to apply in RTO where you have DL issued. eg. if you live in Bangalore you cannot apply here if your DL is from Maharashtra. It's not instant. Process takes time . If you are living outside India then coming back for IDP collection is huge problem.

Firstly, thanks for uploading content. I appreciate the intent. Secondly, I was responding to your answer that they will refund the money in case its not accepted by police, if it's caught by police I belive the fine will be far higher or if rental car rejects this and the refund amount will not help. Thirdly, validating information doesn't mean you have to do the act isn't it. If someone is uploading content about space doesn't mean they have gone to space. It is called fact finding
