There's an abandoned Bunnings in cannington a stone's throw from the cop shop and the new Bunnings, they relocated like 3 buildings down and left the old one behind. I think there's a mitre 10 building still in armadale too, and Freo is full of abandoned factories and shit. There's also a couple little shacks in the middle of overgrown fields along Albany hwy from Gosnells to Armadale, just concrete blocks forming a couple single room buildings with holes for doors and windows covered in graffiti with an old sheet being used as a door. There's also some kind of train line building that's probably 4x2 metres that's on the tracks between Maddington and Kenwick that (I'm not certain) might be abandoned from a long time ago. It seems like it was built before they put the fences along the tracks and surrounded the area with huge factory buildings and warehouses. Its very old and the lighting on the roof looks ancient, idk if it still even has power. Ps. You could probably live in the walls of Westfield carousel. A lot of its been renovated TWICE, so theres remnants of old floor plans everywhere and every stock room has crevices that would let a small framed body climb through into the void between stores. I wont name my store, but inside the stock room if you stand in one spot and look up, theres a square hole in the concrete ceiling with a small concrete lip around it, which then opens to an elevator shaft opening in the ceiling that looks like it extends behind the shop next to us which has a lot less floor space out back 👀 Theres literally some abandoned corridors and elevator shaft inside the walls just in that one spot coz its overlapping where the original floorplan was. I really want to get a drone with a camera and see whats in there, id literally need a grappling hook and 4 metres of rope to get in there myself
They're really not. People like yourself just have high standards and need to apply for and take whatever they can get. Not an apartment you like? Apply anyway. Too small? Apply anyway. Smells of smoke and dodgy patch jobs over holes in the wall? Apply anyway. How would I know? The rental I just moved into, and my last rental (secured 12mo ago and secured 1mo ago) were the first and only properties I applied for. Also, pro tip, a way to stand out at inspections: be the last to enter but the first to leave. Make the agent ask YOU questions. Not the other way around.
@@intcheese Local teenagers will probably harass the homeless there if this video gains too much traction, or the police will use it as an excuse to clear out homeless people. They love doing that here, they don't even let homeless people *sit down* on benches during the day. This video is acting more like a PSA for the concept.
I like the concept of what you're trying to do to help the homeless but I feel like for your sake and the sake of your contributors, there should be a little more privacy involved as the laws can change regarding vacant possession just by being "out there" with your attempts to make landowners actually do something with their properties... I also checked the link you provided to check it out and it immediately asks for a sign in on google, which is definitely not private for people sharing addresses with you... just don't want to see a lawsuit come about and a domino effect of participants in this mass philanthropic venture..
For those wondering what/who he is referring to as people not allowed near schools. its the local libertarian party. Libertarianism is a political philosophy that upholds liberty as a core value. Libertarians seek to maximize autonomy and political freedom, emphasizing equality before the law and civil rights to freedom of association, freedom of speech, freedom of thought and freedom of choice. Weak people make hard times.
@@purplepingers really? is it on their website? in their charter? or have they brought it to table? asking serious;ly. as Aus politics is a murky place of heavy gossip without substance some times. Thanks thou, now at least i understand your reference. Keep making good content.
Libertarian movements are almost exclusively funded by large corporations where they use those easily understood and agreeable principles you mention to attract naive and disenfranchised people to their true cause of turning the western world even further into a corporately-controlled hellscape.
I stabbed a squatter at one of my houses, but he did end up getting social housing. He has medical issues that are paid for by the taxpayer now as well but has a colostomy bag for life now. Also his right arm had to be amputated but he has a housing commision house now so all worked out in the end.
