Kaiser Permanente’s Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine is a medical school located in Pasadena, California that just welcomed its inaugural class in the summer of 2020.
Though Kaiser Medical School is new, Kaiser Permanente has been running residencies since the 1930s and students can take advantage of 6 clinical locations in Southern California.
In addition to its unconventional origins, Kaiser is unique in two major ways. One, it has a hands-on approach to coursework that allows you to start working with patients within your first couple weeks, rather than waiting until your later years to do so. And two, it’s offering free tuition for classes entering in 2020 to 2024.
