Guys please use a clarifying shampoo. They're obvs more expensive than fairy liquid but are specifically designed for hair or shampoo using a silicone scalp massager rather than using fairy liquid
when washing your hair it‘s not supposed to be/feel squeaky clean - you‘re stripping your natural oils which is not healthy! use normal hair products and not something you would use for washing your dishes...
I’ve heard professionals say it’s actually bad to sleep in conditioner as it can weaken the hair and “over moisturise” it. They say it’s best to stick to the time limit on the packaging
Oh no! Fairy liquid is a de greaser! It will strip the grease out of your hair and break down protein 😭😭 pls don’t use this in your hair. Use a proper clarifying shampoo! Baby shampoo is enough to do this!
Oh my god Emily, be gentle with your hair. I literally love your hair and don't want you to experience hair loss or breakage. I use a hair oil that literally changed my hair game, I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about oils but yeah be gentle girl, love you so much 😘

@@maneskinnnnn7190 I didn't tell Emily to use it no. I suggest clarifying shampoo. Emily found this little hack out herself. Her hairs virgin, no colour and is in great condition. It's basically a harder form of a professional clarifying shampoo on hair. I have used fairy liquid and head & shoulders on mannequin heads to test for build up and colour removal. Just little tests I do to be able to offer advice.

During lockdown i dyed my hair a bit too dark and my hairdresser suggested I use Fairy to try and pull some of the colour out. It worked - took a few washes.

okay hold please. stripping and clarifying are NOT the same thing. don't use fairy liquid/dish soap on your hair. that is stripping, not clarifying. Clarifying is meant to remove all the buildup and product out of your hair without damaging any of the natural oils. Stripping your hair just strips all the oils from your hair making it dry and brittle. Also, you should/can bring a LIGHT amount of conditioner up through the top of your hair and scalp.
It's over £10 but only by a couple of pounds (from Boots and Superdrug) and it is a 4 step system but I've recently discovered Knight and Wilson pureplex. The box contains a 30ml sachet of a clarifying shampoo which does the job of the Fairy and a 30ml sachet of conditioner which is the final step but the 2nd step is 200ml bond protecting treatment which is a liquid and the 3rd is a 100ml bond reconstructing treatment which is a cream. You can buy the shampoo and conditioner separately but I just use my regular products once I've used the sachets up. My hair is quite badly damaged by bleach because I have pink hair but from the first use of this I noticed a difference in the texture, the bounce and definition of my curls and a noticeable shine! And it's improving with every use! Anyone who would benefit from olaplex but can't afford the expense should check it out.
Once I used way too much hair oil and I couldn’t get it out of my hair after shampooing multiple times, fairy liquid was the one thing that worked!! It’s so good for product buildup I was amazed 🤩
Hey Emily thanks for the video💕did you use anything else when you put the Garnier hair mask on? Or did you just wash it out and then dried it? When I did that it made me hair look greasy??
You can actually not "train" your hair to need less washing. Oil production is regulated by hormons and no topical solutions will be able to modify this (unfortunately?). Love xx
It is better to use a clarifying shampoo and wash it 2 times. A clarifying shampoo is much healthier, not drying your hair out and because you ain’t using it everyday you don’t have to buy it much & that would be my explanation to use a good clarifying shampoo instead of dishwash soap.
My hair grows fast and it’s still growing I do a few things already on your list I need to drink more water and eat healthier I eat healthy now but I have had a few cheat days this week Also I love the Garnier banana and watermelon hair mask there make your hair smell really nice for a full day and your hair feels nicer once using the hair mask 💜
My go to is the banana one too, but definitely going to give that one you tried a go, definitely not going to try the fairy liquid one that worries me lol
I've been wanting to grow my hair faster so this came at the perfect time! What are your opinions on using oils such as castor oil, coconut oil, etc? Do you think they make a difference to hair growth?
If you say you don’t wash your hair in 4 days, do you mean that you don’t get your hair wet, or that you just don’t use shampoo/conditioner or other in-shower products on your hair? Because I just absolutely hate showering without getting my hair wet, because I still feel dirty afterwards 😅 Idk if that makes me weird but let me know if you also feel this way hahaha
I'm not terribly familiar with the garnier hair food masks but unless specifically directed, hair masks should always be put on damp or wet hair. Also, unless stated otherwise they should not be left on overnight. You need to make sure that you aren't over-moisturizing your hair and creating a protein imbalance. From how I've heard you describe your hair in this and past videos, I think you need more protein based products and are actually over moisturizing.
